I am retired and like helping geneologists or family members who cannot easily visit the cemeteries in my area. I live in an area impacted by homesteaders. It is most interesting to visit country cemeteries where immigrants and Civil War soldiers, who came to Homestead from many differant states, are at rest after starting a new life.
RE: Christian Theo Fred David Christian David is not burried in a cemetery. He is burried on the Gross homestead. His daughter Carrie and son in law Herman Gross burried him on his homestead in 1902. My husband and I place a head marker and Fenced it in. Fish and game has to keep the grave up. this is in Orient South Dakota, hand county. William David is also burried ther his son but no grave marker. Didn't know he was there untill we left South Dakota. Husband died and was unable to get back to South Dakota.
