Bio and Links
Bio Photo Feel free to use any of my grave marker photos any way that you want to, as few (if any) of them have any artistic value which would be covered by the intent of the Copyright clause in the Constitution.

If I created a site, and you want to make any change to the site, feel free to ask. If I created a memorial for a living person, I will be glad to remove it if requested. I like to make natural pictures with the shadows and background telling a story, and letting the hillside elevation show in the view, not blocking out everything except a very tight square around the face of the gravestone. Best advise I can give rookies doing findagrave work--before you volunteer to do a photo, check and see if the requester just created the memorial then immediately requested a photo. Often folks are just guessing and if the cemetery is showing photos for most memorials, you will likely waste your time looking. I try to accommodate reasonable requests. I am just a contributor here, a volunteer. Please notify me of any mistakes you find. I would like to make corrections if brought to my attention. I will gladly add missing family links or bio if you notify me. If you don't want to add family links and etc. then please offer (on your profile) to transfer the sites to someone who will! (One guy with a million memorials in his fiefdom, just says I will not do any transfers, that is what virtual cemeteries are for. He should follow the Findagrave rule. Which is, quoted from Findagrave: If the memorial in question is a direct relative (within four generations-siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents) to you, and the original submitter is not family, then your wishes supersede theirs under our "Family First" policy. If they refuse to transfer your relative to you, contact the administration and we will work on it for you.) I will be more than happy to transfer your family members to you--please respectfully maintain the sites once you get them. Why are some contributors allowed to have zero contact information?!? If you are requesting photos, you should be required to have contact info in case more information is needed or the cemetery is trying to contact relatives of the deceased. Members with no contact info are like a rock for a gravestone. How useful would Find a Grave be if it were just a lot of pictures of rocks? And if you manage memorials with no picture and wrong/missing names, no links, and incorrect dates, don't expect me to add a picture and wait for you to correct the mess you have created. I am here to follow the rules, and please let me know if I am missing any details in the rules so I can improve my find a grave performance! I am not perfect but I do work towards it! You help me do a better job here, and I promise not to create another one of those virtual cemeteries of imaginary friends! Thanks for dropping in!

RE: Lucy Landers
Years ago (late 1990's and early 2000's) when I was working on this branch of my family tree, I corresponded with someone who walked the cemetery and changed dates as necessary on a previous cemetery enumeration that can now be found at http://files.usgwarchives.net/tx/taylor/cemeteries/mcbee.txt. At the time digital cameras were not readily available so I never received photos of the tombstones that interested me. There were too many.

I am distantly related to many many people buried in McBee Cemetery. Most, if not all, the Landers and some of the McBee's buried there are desc. of James Nelson and his wife Mildred Brawner. One of the Nelson daughters married a Landers, another married a Browning -- I desc. from the one who married Browning -- both had issue found in Benton now Calhoun co., Al. It is actually more convoluted; but suffice it to say I'm distantly double and tripple kin to some of the folks in McBee Cemetery.

Sometimes the infor I have is incorrect; but, I do strive to collect accurate data. This time my intel was good. My personal email is delins1@verizon.net if you need addl infor.

Additional Info on Memorials
There was quite a bit of info included in census transcriptions and notes, so I emailed it, (3 total), to you. Covers Seagroves and a few other memorials you manage. Hope you find it helpful.

RE: Seagroves
I have found the surname mainly spelled one of three ways by this family. My line spells it Seagroves. While others lines spell it Seagraves or Segraves. They are all related nonetheless. Leave it as it was spelled on the tombstone would be best, IMO. I have the census data on Calvin transcribed, if you want it.

Mariah Jane Seagroves
# 96341691 Mariah Jane Freeman Seagroves, (dau of Robert Freeman and Unknown Wood-per death certificate), was married to Calvin Seagroves, not Melvin. Calvin and Mariah were married Jan 28, 1855 in Wake County, NC.

When I visited this cemetery many years ago, Calvin, (who is also buried in this cemetery), and Mariah's tombstones were quite worn at that time, but here are the dates from Mariah's death certificate: b. Oct 29, 1933 d. July 8, 1918

Calvin Seagroves, b. June 29, 1933 d. Oct 17, 1901, was a son of John Seagroves and Sylvia (aka Silvey) Collins Seagroves. And John was the son of William Seagroves and Polly Unknown.
