I stumbled across this site by accident. I am so grateful that I found it. It is a way I can memorialize my dad and sons continually. I miss him very much and never let a day go by that I don't think of him.
Then I got to thinking that there are alot of loved ones out there that have passed on and have been forgotten. Therefore I set out to try my best to add names of those that I have known throughout my life. I would eventually like to get all of my family listed that have gone on to be with the Lord. My ultimate goal is to add all the names in the cemeteries around the area that I live. There are alot of names to add but with the Lord's help I will eventually get it done.
If you see any mistakes or errors in my postings, please let me know and I'll make corrections. I take photos with a great deal of respect for those who have walked before us. If a family member objects to having a gravesite photo posted on Find A Grave, please let me know and I will remove it. Permission is granted to use any of my photographs for non-commercial, private use by family members. All others, please ask first.
Thanks so very much for allowing me to be a part of this ongoing task of making memorials for others.

As I am sure you are aware, I have been updating the relationships of the individuals buried in the Rising Cemetery (White Family and Dove Family) off NC 242 near Elizabethtown. My paternal grandfather was a White and my paternal grandmother was a Dove. I have been involved in searching my family trees for the following families: White, Dove, Campbell, Shaw, Edwards, Pait/Pate, FitzRandolph, Lee, Rowell, Singletary, etc.
I should have asked you earlier to transfer the Rising Cemetery to me to keep you from having to approve all my numerous updates which you have so promptly approved. I know the history of almost every individual buried there having grown up in eyesight of the cemetery. The cemetery is still in the hands of the White Family. My father and my paternal grandparents back at least 3 generations from both sides of the families are buried there.
My deceased father and I have kept up this cemetery since I was a young child. Much of my information on the individuals buried there came from him. I would like to request that you transfer the management of this cemetery to me. I still have a lot of info to include on these people consisting mostly of bios on many of them and updated pictures of the gravestones and the cemetery itself.
I appreciate your tireless work and efforts in this matter so very much. If you would like any of the information I have gathered, I will be happy to provide you with the same.

I have requested the transfer of the above Memorial pages (my Uncle & Aunt) both by the "Edit" key and later by private email to you; however, I have not received a response from you. I'm concerned that for some reason, the communications are not getting through, so I'm trying this public message route.
I will also try the "Edit" key again today in hopes that you will receive one of them. I have additional Bio. info. and photos to add to their pages.
Thank you for your consideration,

This is at Mt. Sinai Baptist. The name that you have as Abel Manning Barnhill (10684842) should be Arel Manning Barnhill. He is my husband's grandfather. Thanks in advance.
|Chris Fyfe||Thank you|
I just happened to find this site by searching my fathers name. Thank you so much for adding him to this site. He is buried in NC. I live in Maine and cannot visit like I'd like to. You allowed me to visit him, leave flowers, and wish him a Happy Father's Day..... God Bless you.

|Preserving the Past||Re: Your Sons|
I came across your profile in connection with another members profile on Find A Grave. I wanted to let you know that my heart and prayers go out to you both. I too know the heartache of loosing a child. My daughter was 24 when she was killed in a car accident five years ago. She had just gotten married and been home one week from her honeymoon, on her way home from work the accident occurred. As you said, your sons, and my daughter, are with the Lord, and we will see them again one day...but none-the-less, we will always ache for their presence and miss them dearly. I will keep you in my prayers, and will visit your sons memorials. My daughters is # 23368569. I believe God has connected me with other parents over the past five years who have suffered a loss such as ours; it reminds me that I am not alone in this journey. Hugs & Prayers, Debbie R.
|Cheryl Thompson||Thank you so much!|
I can't tell you how grateful I am for the photo of Guy Paul Thompson Sr's grave in North Carolina. I've never seen it. I just added a photo of "Da Da" Thompson taken a year before he died. He was my paternal grandfather, his son (GPT junior) was my father, and my baby brother was GPT the third. My brother died after only three days of life on this earth but is with the rest of my family in Heaven. I long to see them all again.
I am sorry for the loss of your two sons, especially so young and close together. I am glad that you take comfort that they are awaiting you in Heaven.
Peace by with you,
Cheryl "Sherry" Thompson
(who is still trying to find information on the death and gravesite of her other brother, David Paul Thompson)

I'm terribly sorry about the loss of your two sons. Our sympathy is with you.
I appreciate your transfer of the Ponzers to me. She was one of my mother's two beloved sisters. GLS
