I have been doing genealogy research for 30+ years and still enjoy it very much.

I am thankful for the many 'new' cousins I've found via the Find A Grave site, and also thankful for the many new friends I've made via this site.

RE: Russell & Katherine Casteel Photos
Those rooms are beautiful and the stain glass windows just add more to the beauty. I am working hard at cleaning up these rooms since the roof has been replaced.

RE: Buren
Ruth - I didn't think of this before but you can ask the cemetery to do a probe of the family plot. It's not unusual to find that the markers have sunk down and then the grass has grown over them. If you tell them you are family they will be more helpful that they would be to me. Good luck! Jim

Ruth - I went to the Section and Lot you specified but all that was there was a big grassy spot - I took a photo of it. I wrote down the "neighbors" names and went to the office just to be sure I was in the right place - I was. It's very odd that an entire family wouldn't be marked. Can you please double check that you have the correct location - if it's the same location would you please call or email the cemetery to verify it? Their info is on my contributor page. I had them look up three graves today and that's my limit for a few weeks - I don't want to be viewed as a nuisance as these aren't my family members. Thank you, Jim

RE: The Cullen Buren Family
Ooops, I wrote down Buren on my list but remembered Cullen because it was an unusual name! I'm off to the cemetery now, Jim

RE: The Cullen Family
Ruth, I'll create those memorials but I'll transfer them to you if you don't mind. My passion on findagrave is photography - I'm always hoping I can bring the number of my memorials down to just my family! Regarding marriage - I've been in a relationship for 7 years and at the ripe old age of 60, I'm very grateful! But I totally appreciate your joke, some days I wish I was single!! Jim

Peter Cain
Hello Ruth,
Thank you so much for locating the three remaining children of Peter Cain. Are we related?

The Cullen Family
Hi Ruth - I'm going to Hollywood Forever Cemetery today to photograph the Cullen plot. I'm curious, do you know why the three children never married? I hope you don't think I'm too nosy but sometimes the back stories are fascinating. Hope this finds you well, Jim

Hello! I am about to fulfill your photo requests, but unfortunately, there was no marker for either one. When you obtained the location, did they tell you there were supposed to be headstones for them? I know I was in the right place because the number plug for lot number 1516 was visible, and I counted down the lots to numbers 1499 and 1500. I poked around in the ground with a trowel to see if they were buried under the sod, but I could not feel anything. I suggest that you contact the office again and ask if there are markers. If they tell you there are supposed to be markers, please let me know and I will go back and enlist the help of the groundskeepers.

In the meantime, I placed some yellow flowers in between lots 1499 and 1500 so that you can tell in the photo where they are supposed to be.

Best regards,

Barlow Photos
Hi Ruth,

Love the photos of Georgia A Barlow and some of her siblings. Always nice to place a face with a family member in this case a cousin.

Curious if your collection of photos has any of the family members that stayed in Arkansas. There do seem to be many so I ask everyone working on the family tree just in case someone has a collection.

In particular I am looking for a photo of Mattie Barlow who married John Coughlin/Caughlin/Cochlin and the younger sister of Daniel Barlow born in 1861 and father of Georgia A.

Love the photos you have posted. Fingers crossed you have Mattie but always nice to meet a new cousin.

This in my wife's mother.

One correction: she died on Jan 20, 1964, not Jan 21.
