I am a resident of Mt. Pleasant, NC and I have been photographing cemeteries in Cabarrus Co. almost exclusively for about 10+ years. When I photograph a cemetery I try and get the whole cemetery. If you would like a few photos for your research which do not have a watermark... just ask me and I'll email them to you.

Permission to use photos in family trees.
You have several tombstone photos I would like permission to use in my Ancestry and FamilySearch family trees. I will, of course, give you full credit. They are in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. I would be very appreciative to be able to add them to my family trees.

Thank you very much for taking and adding the photos from this area. It is on my wish list to be able to spend a few days in the Mecklenburg & Cabarrus Co., NC area doing some genealogy research. I live in Rome, GA so you are only a few hours away. I just can't seem to find the time!

Thank you,

Pat Millican

RE: another cemetery with no photos
Terry, I called you Tim, sorry about that. Don't know where I got Tim from. I see that pictures of Vanhoy Cemetery are on findagrave now. Was that your doing?

RE: Updates from Oakwood
That's a good approach!!! I've never wanted to put the certificates on the memorials.. too much info that may not need to be public… I'll try your idea! Thanks! Take care, Dana

Updates from Oakwood
Hey! Hope you've been well! Thanks for the updates in Oakwood Cemetery… they have been made! I never know what to put.. the death certificate date or the memorial date… it depends on whether I add the memorial first then go find them or the other way around!!! The Herrin's are relatives but there's no one alive to verify … oh well! Thanks again and have a great fall! Blessings, Dana

Thank you, Do you miss all this sunshine? The cape has grown into one of the largest cities in Florida. Land mass wise, it has the potential to be the largest. Back in the 70's you probably lived there when there was still dirt roads and such. If you ever get tired of getting cold, maybe you might consider moving back. If you ever visit this area, look me up. I would be happy to meet you. I have lived in Ft Myers now for 20 years.
