Retired university teacher and librarian with interest in Civil War burials and burial practices. Also undertaking to photograph all cemeteries in Erath County, TX, and surrounding counties, then to enter the tombstone information into the database. Many older tombstones are in such shape as to be illegible, so corrections to bad or missing biographical information is welcomed. |
Please make requests for additions, corrections, links, etc., directly from the memorials' "edit" feature rather than here. I'll get to them much faster. (Transfers to direct descendants, please, and not in bulk lots!)

Thank you very much for the picture of William Johnson Long and Mary Long in the Hightower Cemetery in Erath County. They were my gg-grandparents.
I am wondering if I could get you to add a couple of links to WJ Long?
His mother was Jane Smart Long #17019111 buried in Brittan Cemetery, Rutherford County, NC.
His father was William Long # 17018900, also buried in Brittan Cemetery, Rutherford County, NC.
Thank you very much.

Thank you thank you for posting this memorial. I miss Lee & Eileen so much, it is so painful. If you are not family, would you mind transferring the management of this memorial to me? If not, no problem.
Thank you again
