Bio and Links
Bio Photo If you contact me, please take a moment to say hello, good morning, or hey how are ya. On occasion I get "suggest a correction" notices that are brief, abrupt, and unfriendly in tone and seem more like robot communication than actual human beings. It's a personal pet peeve and I don't react well to those sorts of messages. A little simple human courtesy goes a long way with me.

I research my family history in southwestern and south central Pennsylvania for the most part, although I live in northeastern New Jersey. Counties of interest include Bedford, Blair, Franklin, Fulton, Somerset, Westmoreland, Cambria, Fayette, Washington, Indiana, and others.

PLEASE: If you request an interaction with me, whether to discuss a memorial or request a transfer, please do not be "Anonymous" and not provide any means to contact you. I recently had someone request a transfer but when I tried to contact the person, was told that the submitter was anonymous and there was no way to leave a public message for him or her. I'm not comfortable with this method of communicating. Thanks.

PLEASE: If you write to me via "Suggest a Correction" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide me with evidence in the form of some kind of documentation for any edits you'd like me to make. This is especially true if I don't already know who you are. It's not possible for me to simply accept what someone out of the blue tells me is valid without sources, documentation, proof or some other compelling argument. Sorry to sound like a grouch, but that's just the way my work goes.

Photo requests
Hi. You have 2 new photo requests in for Oak Ridge Cemetery: Mercy Lindsay and Sarah Lynch. I marked each as a "problem". I had already noted that Sarah has no stone so I must have searched for that before as I walked and recorded that Block where she is buried. Mercy Lindsay is buried in the same plot as Sarah and Isaac Lindsay and that is the only stone in that plot. Mercy was removed from an old cemetery that was being destroyed and brought to Oak Ridge. Most of those stones didn't make it through the removal. At any rate, she also has no stone or I would have photographed it while getting the one for Sarah and Isaac. Sorry there isn't anything for you to look at but there are just so many unmarked graves and I know it is frustrating.....for me, too! Anything else I can do for you, let me know.

Grubbbs Family
Hi Michael:
What a great name by the way, I'm a Mike myself.

I'm glad to see you have done some work for some of the Grubbs Family. I am related to William M Grubbs and Mary Eva Uhlenburg. I am a Great Grandson of a Thomas Marshall Grubbs. I dont see him in the list of Children of William and Mary but I do have a Funeral Home notice that has surviving brothers and Sisters that match those names.

Also, I don't see him on any Census pages with the Family but the 1900 Census has him at a different family along with his brother Frank.

Are you related to the Grubbs Family and if you are do you have some insight you might share.

Thank you

Hi! I am glad to see you on here and all the memorials you have added! Emma Catherine Deemer was my great grandmother. She was the daughter of Thomas Deemer, son of Philip and Sarah (Miller)Deemer.

It has been a while since we communicated. I might have went by the name of Linda Parker then. I have since went back to my maiden name of Ramirez.

Again, thank you for all your help researching my family of Deemer!

RE: Eliza Bupp
Hello Michael,

You are most welcome! As you probably know, there are a lot of Bupp family members in that cemetery, but Eliza is kind of off by herself.

Best regards,

Union Church Cemetery
Hello Michael

I am looking at the "find a grave" site for Isabella Reed Grubbs and noticed Union Church cemetery as her burial place. I tried to find the location of the cemetery but was unable to find anything. Can you give me some help with that?

Thomas Bonner #126488244
Would you have any more information on Thomas Bonner's wife, Florence A.? Could she possibly be the daughter of Quintin Geddes #102823219 & his second wife Mary Jane Gardner #102823231 in Grandview Cem. in Johnstown PA?
Thank you so much for all your research & the obituaries that you have placed on the memorials.
