|My great, great grandparents, Friedrich and Anna (Baumbach) Kerstowske came to the United States with their children from West Prussia in the mid-1800's. One of their sons, August, was my great-grandfather. I was born well after August passed away and only knew his son, my grandfather, Otto Charles Kerstowske. I regret not asking Grandpa to tell me more about his past. I know he would have been more than willing to share as much of that as he could with me. I do have a couple of very old photo albums and, thankfully, Grandpa labeled a number of those pictures with a pencil. Because of this, I have been able to identify some of the people in these pictures, however, there are many questions still left without answers. Just the same, I am proud to be a Kerstowske and proud to be of West Prussian heritage.|
I am also researching the family of my older siblings. In 1939, my mother, Helen Bell, married Van Tuyl Harrington II. Mom and Van had four children: Sandra, Van Tuyl III, Susan and Judith. In 1947, at the age of 37, Van Tuyl II died suddenly of a massive heart attack. In 1951, Mom married George Edward Kerstowske. I was born in 1952 and my sister, Jeanne, was born in 1956.
My older siblings are the descendants of Stephen Harris Harrington II. Stephen was the co-founder of the Harrington and King Perforating Company in Chicago, Illinois around 1883. The company is still in operation today. More information about Stephen can be found on his Find A Grave entry for Forest Home Cemetery, Cook County, Illinois.

Thanks, and I'll keep searching!
|Julie Rasmussen||Clarissa, wife of Daniel Hubbard|
Memorial #30423212, Clarissa Hubbard. Do you have any information about her husband Daniel or her children? Do you know where Daniel is buried? Thanks!
|Christopher Baker||RE: Bethania Cemetery|
I know the date is the burial date at Bethany. I found this out after the site was imported. I then made a request over 1.5 months to Find A Grave admin explaining the issue and asking them how they wanted to handle it ... remove all the days was my suggestion. They have not replied or done anything with it. I have no way to make bulk changes and they have not done anything or replied. I don't really have many other choices if they don't respond.
Give me the memorials and I will remove the days if you want.

I have a copy of the page from the Sheffler Cemetery plot book that mentions Job and his wife Deborah Alger are buried here in an unmarked grave
|John Robertshaw||James Harvey Ferguson|
Thank you for the help discovering which name was the same person. I did my initial search under James and did not realize to use just Harvey.
Thank you for your help. I have deleted the photo request. Without your assistance I would still not have known.

I have added the links to the memorial.

Dear Trudie.......I watched the video and it about turned my stomach to think of what's going on with these poor forgotten souls. Michael would be my cousin, so I am sending this to his sister. There was no need to go to the cemetery after viewing this video. My cousin may appreciate this information and then again maybe not. I certainly do appreciate you sending this link to me. My aunt went to this hospital for her own reasons, and I don't pass judgment.
Thank you so much! Elizabeth
