Bio and Links
Bio Photo This is one of the greatest sites for adding to you family trees but mostly to honor those who have passed away. I have been doing my family Genealogy for about 30 years now and have just scratched the surface.

Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

Looking for a Hero
My 3x Great Grandfather, Henry H. Haggard/Hagood/Haygood (they could make up there minds on spelling). I am having trouble finding his grave sight. Fought in battle of san jacinto, Bexar and maybe civil war, but probably not, may have fought in Mexican American War. Was a Mounted Gunman Texas Ranger, Volunteer of Jasper company under James Chessher, brother of James Haygood Galaveston, from Amite/Wilkinson Mississippi. born Sept 2 1815 died either jasper tx or waco tx i think or Bastrop tx.

Hi Nedra,

I sent you an edit on Ada Little "Willie" Sydner Bowen in Old Union Cemetery but I decided to reconsider ... I know your entry is the original and it IS the one that should rightfully stay, however since your entry has no family links, and no photo, would you consider just deleting your entry? The other one has the photo and numerous family links already in place, it would be so much easier to just leave it and delete yours. If you are related to this person you could later ask for a transfer of the name.

Cumbies in Black Jack cemetery
If you'd like to connect a few of the Cumbie folks in the Black Jack cemetery, Henderson County, Texas, Daniel Rowe Cumbie (Find A Grave # 7367258) and Artie Lee Cumbie (Find A Grave # 7367253) are husband and wife. Her maiden name was Cox. Their son is Daniel West Cumbie (Find A Grave # 7367250).
Thanks, Kay Masterson

Archie Creamer

There are two different tags for this man. One as Archibald Columbus and Archie. They are the same person, born in 1859 died in 1943. Is there a way to link the two together?

Ida Locke Creamer #30528956
Nedra, I see on Ida memorial that you state that Olar Creamer Jackson is Ida's stepchild. Could you give me more info. on her mother's name. It appears on the 1900 census that she is Ida's, so I would like to clarify. Thanks for your help.

RE: Don Howaed
Oh! No, I don't have any idea. I am simply photographing the graves. It's a very unique grave marker - with the flat covering and the head stone with a vase in the middle of it - all looks like one piece, or connected. I would guess a family member did it.

RE: Marker
I'm not sure what you're asking. The memorial says on it that it was created by you. I added the pictures.

Msg boards are slow and behind and don't refresh well today. Anyway, just letting you know I fixed him, he is where he's suppose to be, and he's yours again.

Also you can clean up/delete our conversations from your board if you want to. Just click the little "x" in the corner of any msg from anyone who posts to your board.
