|I have been interested in genealogy for many years, and love the ability of being able to preserve the monuments of those who came before us via Find-A-Grave. In my spare time I enjoy visting cemeteries in my local area of southern Illinois and also Perry Co. Missouri, and I try to photograph the entire cemetery and add the info to Find-A-Grave. I will also gladly update links and make corrections.|

|Jim Copley||Harold Walter Meissner Memorial|
Diane, I see you created a Find A Grave record for Harold Walter Meissner yesterday and requested a photograph.
I only see three records for the surname "Meissner" in the Greenwood Cemetery Directory located here:
LAST FIRST Block/Lot Date of Death
MEISSNER WALTER 10 83 03/27/1966
MEISSNER LAVERNA 14 81 09/10/2011
MEISSNER LILLY 10 83 04/21/1986
I have posted photographs of the Walter T. and Lilly C. stone. Sorry to say, there is no other stone for Harold Walter Meissner in the area of Block 10, Lot 83 where his parent's memorial is located.
You are welcome.

Do you know if the Cheatham Cemetery is on public or private land. I'm planning a trip to So. Illinois and would like to visit this cemetery where my husband's 3rd ggf is buried. Thanks for your help!

We did not use young as part of name. Will look with that spelling. I have photographed this cemetery and if I find a location I will look again.

I know it has been a long time since you listed this cemetery. Do you by any chance have a log that would indicate others buried near him. He is the only Lewis in the Cemetery. This matches the sketchy information I have and hope that I have found him.
I live in KC and can not travel to Ava. Please let me know any info you have.
