Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live 50 miles East of San Francisco in Livermore, California. I have done extensive research of the MUMMA surname in America and the MOMMA surname in Europe (Germany, Holland, Sweden). I maintain a large database of the MUMMA/MOMMA families and related surnames which can be accessed on my website. I am also the coordinator of the MUMMA Surname DNA project which has identified various branches of the family and a unique ancestral surname haplotype.

Thank you for your interest. The memorials are not duplicates.
They are in two different plots and the dates are different.

RE: photograph of Nellie Woods crypt
Glad I could get it for you. I was somewhat confused though by the discrepancy in the last name (lack of an 's').

You asked some very good questions. The answer to the one regarding if I was actually sure of who was buried under a headstone? No. They won't let me dig up cemeteries anymore. LOL May I suggest contacting Tawnya at tpost@arlingtonwa.gov .

Many Blessings!

Jacob Kershner
I found Jacob Kershner. He was moved to Ferncliff cemetary. What is there now is a stone that says Kershner but the rest has been seriously eroded. I also got a photo of the index card. The year of death is different than what you mentioned. But he is from Maryland.

Jacob Kershner
Hello Doug, I am here in Springfield OH. I went out to Greenmount Cemetary to look for Jacob Kershner. I found a Martin Kershner, but I did not see a Jacob. There is a stone nearby that has fallen, but was just too heavy for me to flip over or pickup. I may give it a try again soon, but I am sorry. Most of the stones are so eroded that there is a chance that I saw it and simply could not read it.

RE: son of Jacob and Sarah Kershner
Thank you! I have sent an 'edit' request and hopefully the creator of the son's page will update... The friend I am doing genealogy for will be delighted to know that I have actually emailed with one of her distant relatives (given the fact of your last name being 'Mumma'... :) My friend is the great-great-granddaughter of Jacob Kershner and Sarah Warble. :)
