I have enjoyed doing finding a grave.
I love going to the cemeteries and helping others find tidbits of info that might be missing from their family tree. Sometimes all the info might not be available.

Elizabeth Bussey Weeks
It's incorrect, Patricia. Her name wasn't Ruth at all, however, she did have a niece named Ruth which is why I wondered where that came from. She was born Lizzie Beth Bussey and later changed her name to Elizabeth.

Can you please tell me your source for where you got the name Elizabeth "Ruth" on my great grandmother Elizabeth Bussey Weeks?

Thank you,

Kathy Crowley

Lawrence John Ladu
Thank you for your reply. I would like to get this book to someone in Mr. Ladu's family, but I really have no clue as to how to locate someone closer. If you would like to have it, please let me know how to send it to you! It's on my coffee table and I would love to have it out of site. My husband has dementia and I'm trying to clear out some things that seem to weigh heavy on him!
God Bless.

My Grandfathers grave
Hi,
I am Katherine Williams and my grandfather is John Daniel Putman. Are you kin to him? My father was Berman James Putman, and my grandmother was Nancy Minnie Putman.

I went to McCormack Cemetary quite a few years ago and could not find my grandfathers grave. I found this on Find A Grave and saw where you had added it. So very glad you did.

Do you know if my grandmother is buried by my grandfather? I talked to a Jack Putman in Jasper I think, on the phone several years ago but have changed phones and lost his number. I believe he said he was my grandfather's brothers son.

Thanks for any info you can give me.

Found Personal Item
In the attic of a home I purchased for my mother I found a Korean War book that had the name of Lawrence John Ladu inside the front cover. It is in bad repair but I thought that you might want this as it may have belonged to a relative. Please contact me if you would.

My grandmother's name is Frances Lorene Nicholson Allums and she was not married to who you have. She was married to Mabern Allums born Jan 3, 1912 and died Nov 18, 1988.

RE: James Newton
James "Ray" Newton was my father, and the stillborn "infant son" would have been my oldest brother. Thanks for adding them to the registry.

She was my great-aunt. Her first husband was Herbert Joseph Jernigan, brother to my grandfather, Frankie William Jernigan. Family Search has the marriage records of all of these people. I think Herbert is buried at Marvins Chapel Cemetery, Pinson, Jefferson Co, AL, but he doesn't have a memorial. Her parents were John Mannon Jones and Dee Ella Fulmer. Thanks for posting her memorial.

RE: Help
Thanks. But, do you know the spouse's name? I am unable to decipher.
