I have researched my family heritage for many years. I would like to share what I have found with others who are also looking for their family. When I go to the cemeteries I try to take photo's of as many of the stones as I can. I hope this will help someone else looking for their family.|
If anyone would like family memorials transfered to them, or would like changes made to anything I have added to fag, just let me know. I will be glad to do so. Any stone photo's I have added to fag may be used with my permission, for family records only. I do not give permission for them to be used for profit in any way.
Please remember we are all doing this to help each other. Though most requests I have gotten have been asked very nicely, I have received a few that have not been so nice. This is why I no longer post my e-mail address on my profile page.
If you leave a message on my page I will get back to you as soon as I can.

|Leo Glass||Glass family|
Hello. My name is Leo Michael Glass. From doing research,I have found, we are distant cousins. Your research was invaluable in helping me in mine. The reason I'm writng is first to say hello and second to respectfully request an edit of additional information.
You have my father listed as Charles Lynn Glass his actual name is Charles Lee Glass. He was the son of Mitchell Lynn Glass and Molly Dyer. He was married to my mother Geneva Arlene Kirby. They had 4 children:
Leo Michael Glass 1956
Debra Jo Glass 1957
Timothy Charles Glass 1959
Diana Marie Glass 1962
Charlie was an ordained Pentecostal minister of The Bibleway Fellowship headquartered in Dallas Texas. He is buried in Elm Lawn Cemetary in Elmhurst Illinois.
Thank you for all you have done for our family
Leo M. Glass

Thanks for the transfer and completing the edits.

Yes 34868876 is the correct memorial number for Polly SWOPE. I must have put in George's by mistake- she is his second (or possibly third)wife.
Thanks for getting back to me.
|chisgenealogyhunter||Polly SWOPE Find a Grave Memorial 124641465|
I noticed your memorial for Polly SWOPE. This appears to be Mary "Polly" SWOPE nee DEBNAM, the second wife of George SWOPE (find a grave memorial124641465). I have requested an edit that you link your memorial to this one.
Are you actually related to Polly? If not, would you be able to transfer the memorial to me? I have already added children to George from his first marriage. We have common ancestors in Ulrich RENZ III and Anna MOEGENHARDT in Germany. Many branches of the RENZ family emigrated to U.S. and Australia. I am in Australia.
If you transfer, no need to complete the edit yourself, as I can do it once you do the transfer.

Mary, I am the Newsletter Editor for the Bartholomew Co Genealogical Society. We are celebrating our 25th year, and plan to do an article on John Hamblen, our founder. Would you mind if I copied the photo you took of his stone to publish in our Newsletter ? Thanks !

I found that problem alot - they fill one area up and move down the road and they don't really change the name - gets confusing -- One in Austin is split by a road and you have to know which side of the road to go to -- then when they say the new part maybe locals know which is the new part but others don't.
Thank you for clearing things up. You are doing a good job!
