Hello -
I would like to fulfill your request for photos in the Allen-Hawkins Cemetery. Currently, this family burial yard is on private residential property and hasn't been maintained for decades.

Access to the cemetery will not be a problem since last fall I made contact with 2 Hawkins descendants whose family still owns most of the land on Hawkins Road. Their childhood recollection is that the cemetery needed a lot of work, even then.

Therefore, we have tentative plans to begin cleanup and identification of any remaining stones during this spring (before the poison ivy is active).

So, bear with us -- pick axes, chainsaws, shovels and lots of digital photos will be in force while we undertake this project.
