Retired military and living near Antietam battlefield. |
IF YOU NEED FAMILY LINKS MADE, PUT YOUR REQUEST HERE. MY EMAIL ACCOUNT HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING SOME ISSUES. THANKS
If I have added a family member or a good friend, I am happy to transfer memorials. I am not bothered by F.A.G. guidelines in transfers. I am concerned about getting family members "back together." I DO transfer distant relatives since they SHOULD be with family.
I am also happy to transfer memorials of close friends as well as family.
REMEMBER, these sites are in memory of someones' ancestors. If you place a photo on a memorial, make it good enough that you would be happy with it on your own.
All men die...not all men really live.
I am looking for Charles & Flo Liddington. Flo died in 1972. Charlie was alive in 1974. They were my mothers' mother & step-father.
I believe they lived modestly within a half hour of Danville, PA. Also,
I am also searching for any info regarding the roster for the 33rd or 34th Battalions of the Maryland Militia. An ancestor I am searching for, Thomas Mock, who served with this unit in New Jersey in 1777 under George Washington. He had a wife named Sarah and parents were George & Catherine Mock. They were from "SUPPOSEDLY" living between Sharpsburg and Middletown, Washington & Fredrick County, MD.

|Suellen Burkey||Cemetery search|
Hello! I see you posted a photo of the Gsell and Foreman cemetery near Marion, PA. I have ancestors in this cemetery--I found your picture from a search for the grave of Jacob Hege. I'm trying to track down the burial spot of Christian Hege who served in the Revolutuonary War.
Would you be so kind as to let me know where the Gsell and Foreman cemetery is located?
Thanks! Sue Burkey
|Sandie M||Elias S Eakle|
Is there a stone for Elias? This is my great grandfather, on my mothers side of the family. I'd like to see a pic of his stone added to his find-a-grave site. I can also supply his children's names from his 1st wife. No children by his 2nd wife.

|Helen Wilson||Enos P. Wilson, Antietam|
I have submitted some edits as well as a photo for Enos, who is the younger brother of my husband Jerry's great grandfather, Alpheus Wilson. (see 1850 Census) They both served for WV in the Civil War, along with 2 other brothers. Enos died at Sandy Hook "hospital" at age 18 after serving less than one year. We visited Antietam several years ago & took a picture of his gravestone on a rainy grey day, so the picture is not great (the stone was not in good condition either). Regards, Helen Wilson

Hello! Would you mind transferring Alda Courtney, Paul Courtney, and Thelma Courtney's to me? I would love to add to them and link them to other family members. Paul is my great grand uncle. Alda married his brother, my other great grand uncle, Donald Courtney.

My great-great-grandfather's first cousin, two times over.
Father: 15789667 Daniel Kunkel 1809-1888
Mother: 15789655 Lydia Fahringer Kunkel 1815-1901
Please post under biography:
“Historical and Biographical Annals of Columbia and Montour Counties, Pennsylvania . . .” (Chicago: J. H. Beers & Co., 1915), page 1163: “Children as follows were born to Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Kunkel: Sarah Ann, wife of Edward Strausser, is buried near Pittsburg; Andrew, born July 15, 1838, was killed in the battle of Antietam; . . .”
There is no need to transfer to me. I just posted his maternal grandparents; anyone who starts looking at this family, will be contacting me.
Thank you very much,
David L. Klees #48270886

Ken - thank you so much. The photos are great. I'm glad that you were able to get into the mausoleum - I know how difficult it can be to get permission. I appreciate your help.
