I have been doing genealogy for about ten years now. I am a member of the DAR and Mayflower Society, and I am constantly working to find and document anything interesting about family members. It is a very consuming hobby, but the rewards are great.|
If anyone finds mistakes, needs to add info or needs me to make any changes at all just let me know. PLEASE USE THE EDIT TAB on the memorial page, it does make it easier for me to do quickly.
I do appreciate any extra info that I can add to my memorials. If I have taken a picture and it is not clear please let me know and I will be glad to go retake it, or if you would like a higher quality sent to you by email, I will try to do that.
SSW- means side by side with, usually on same stone.
The Proper Way to Clean a Headstone
from the International Association of Cemetery Preservationists
It is recommended that clean clear natural spring water only be used for cleaning historical cemetery structures. Do NOT use harsh chemicals, high pressure hoses or equipment, or abrasive tools of any kind.
Use soft-bristled brushes with natural or plastic bristles. Never use a wire brush or any metal object for cleaning. Automobile detailing brushes are very handy for cleaning historic headstones and monuments.
At one time it was recommended to use shaving cream as a cleaning agent on headstones and monuments. This came about when cemetery photography became more popular and inscriptions couldn't be read well. Do NOT use shaving cream to clean headstones or monuments. It has now been found to damage the stone because of the often high levels of alcohol and menthol in the shaving cream.

|Ann O'Malley||Solomon White and family members|
Rather than watch TV (especially election news), I go in and try to flesh out memorials I've added myself--at least I can make my own edits to my own memorials. I have not gotten much past the A's. I found a lone marker in a rural cemetery in Noel, Missouri and have been linking family members to her ever since. Her name was Bonnie Jewel White Fields Andrus. I have found her sibs, her parents, her aunts and uncles and her children--they are all linked to each other now. I am not sure if you are a member of this family---if I'd followed your additions to their Find A Grave memorials, I would be on the "b's" by now. The Whites seem so have come to Arkansas; many stayed but some moved to Montana. I was stumped on how "Jewel" ended up buried in Noel, MO---her son by her first husband is buried in the Noel Cemetery, too. Almost every family tree on My Heritage lists the patriarch as "Sloman"---his name was actually Solomon. His memorial is yours. He's buried about 20 miles from where I live. Anyway--just wondered what relation you are to the Whites---or if you meddle in other families like I do.

My 5th great grandparents, Jacob and Sarah Drum, are buried in the Drum Cemetery in Monroe County. Would you please tell me where it is located? Thank you for all you do. Find A Grave is an invaluable resource. Gail
