PLEASE - remember to only ask for a transfer if you are a direct descendant within the four generation guidelines. Otherwise, please send any information you would like added to a memorial for your aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. Thank you.|
As an amateur genealogist with very limited funds, I believe that Find A Grave is an invaluable family history resource! The family names I am avidly researching include these surnames:
Anderson, Braswell, Byers, Dykes, Garrison, Hightower, Horn, Jones, Logan, Mooney, Patillo, Strong, Wiseman
There are many other affiliated names that are too numerous to list. The majority of the memorials I have created on Find A Grave are of my extended family, including numerous allied families.
I have created many memorials from cemetery transcriptions, and from other Find A Grave members' headstone photos. I welcome corrections or additions to these memorials. Please use the Edit tab at the top right of EACH memorial to correct dates, names, or add family links. If you have a question or want to send a bio, please click on 'Suggest any other corrections or additions' while on the 'Edit' page.
Transfers: Please read the Find A Grave FAQ regarding transfers. I do take care of all of the memorials I create, and will happily make edits, corrections, and add links. Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations (see the FAQ). All others please make corrections using the "Edit" tab at the top right of the memorial. Do not use public messages or direct emails as these do not include the necessary links to the memorials and your contributor page.
Reminder: Find A Grave is a collaborative website, so if you see any memorial that needs more information, links, or corrections, please contact the contributor of the memorial to make these changes. Also, check out the Virtual Cemetery feature as the perfect way to keep track of all your family members' memorials.
PS - Please use the Edit tab for ANYTHING regarding memorials that I manage. Public messages and my email address do not include the necessary links to the memorials!

Cyndi, I notice you have four photo requests for the Union Springs Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas. I drive by it every day to work, so I stopped by last week. I did not find any of those four graves marked. I could have possibly missed one, but since it is a small cemetery I don't think I could have missed all four. They are possibly/probably unmarked. I didn't claim them on Find-a-Grave in case someone more familiar with them or the cemetery might claim them.

Yes, as I wrote before, 'Sewall' is shown as her middle name and Johnston her maiden name. Her death certificate shows Lois's middle name to be Gwendolyn, not Sewall. I am happy to send you a copy of the death certificate if you like. It's too bad findagrave doesn't have more slots for married names, but there is no reason to make a married name into a middle name. Thank you.
|Ace Crawford||RE: Sarah Long Dykes #29755571|
I only have circumstantial evidence: the census data and the fact that George (in my opinion her father), two uncles Thomas and James, with their wives, and three sisters, Julyaur, Martha Jane and Patti T. are interred in the same cemetery.
Rebecca (Sarah's mother) isn't interred there, because, after George's death, she moved to Stafford County, Kansas, living the remainder of her life with Noah and Lillie Bradshaw Long.
For the record, I don't copy anything from other trees. I look at a lot of data, including other trees, but it's only my research which goes into my tree. My suggestions to Find A Grave are based solely upon my research. I'm confident in the suggestion I made to you, but it's your choice to use it or not.

Hello, I'm sorry to leave a public message, but your e-mail address copies as java script code. Your memorial is the only one I've come across in years of using findagrave that gives the names out of the order they were created by birth records and then recorded married names. It's confusing because viewers expect to see the maiden name before the married name. Many women married twice or more, and not all the dates or marriages are known. All of that can be explained in the bio or in connection with their husbands' burial records. I respectfully ask that you follow findagraves' protocol for filling in the slots of a married woman. If the maiden name goes into the maiden name slot, the viewer won't be confused or have difficulty identifying the woman with either her maiden or married name. Thank you for your consideration of my request.

Hello, I am writing about the maiden/family surname of Lois Johnston memorial# 61350044. It was Johnston, as was her father. Sewall was one of her married surnames. As it is set up now, Lois's married name Sewall appears to be her maiden name, and her maiden name Johnston appears to be her married name. Could you please correct this error? Thank you.
I completed your photo request for James Moses. He is buried with his second wife Aylita Moses. There was no memorial for Aylita, so I created one. If you would like the Aylita memorial let me know and I will transfer it to me.

Hi Cyndi, I changed Martha Cosper's maiden name to only Knopp, per your request. She is my 4th great grandmother. Thanks for the info. Have a great day.

Thank you for the transfer of Billy and Mary Stamps' memorials. PS. Billy Joe's nickname was "BJ" - which is the name of one of the Barney characters.
