Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been into genealogy online since 2001, but had always had an interest before all these technological advances. Now that most of my ancestors are 'sourced' at, I'm attempting to finish each member with a pictorial record of their final resting place. I thoroughly enjoy this jigsaw-puzzle called family tree making and would love it if I could help anyone else out in their genealogical journey.

Currently (fall '11 - now), I'm in the process of photo-documenting a couple of the local cemeteries in El Dorado County. All of the internments I enter for these I'm no relation to. If you want me to transfer management, I'm willing to do so. Just ask :)

I am extremely passionate about what I do for Find A Grave. Although, merely a volunteer, the end results are so much more gratifying. Connecting loved ones with those looking for them is the most rewarding for me.

With the many gold country pioneer cemeteries I've plodded through in recent years, it just makes me want to identify each plot even more and with accuracy.

I'll have to say that one of the cemeteries that made my jaw drop in beauty was Forest Lawn, Glendale. I've coined it "city of the dead" because its population is over 10,000... five of which are my ancestors.

Farnsworth in Georgetown
Lori, Appreciate your work, especially for Farnsworth family in Georgetown Pioneer Cemetery. Headstones for John F. (1835-1929), his son John B. (1876-1914), and Earnest “Bun” ( -1909) appear to be very new, not 80-100 years old. Any idea why? Replaced by Farnsworth descendants perhaps? I am not a descendant. John F.’s daughter Mabel Farnsworth was first wife of my great-grandfather Hilliard R. Qualls, but I am descended from his second wife. Regarding Earnest “Bun” Farnsworth, could he have been an infant? I suspect he might have been son of Ernest Robson Farnsworth (another son of John F.). You have access to cemetery records? Just wondering.

RE: Livingstons in Georgetown
Thanks. Some Findagravers are very possessive of the pictures they have posted, so I always ask first.

Lueva Inez Sackett
Hi Lori, I just got a hint from ancestry that brought me to this site. It shows my great grandmothers grave site with a missing headstone. You commented about it might be in a museum? It said that you were checking on it. I was just wondering if you found out where the headstone is or if it was stolen, vandalized, etc. Is there any indication how long it has been missing?

Also, were you able to determine that it was Lueva's grave because of records of the grave yard? It really bothers me that her grave is basically unmarked at this point. If it is a permanently missing grave marker, I would like to get some kind of headstone on the grave site. When you get a chance could you please let me know what you have found out? Thank you so much for all your dedication, I know it's very appreciated by the families.
