I've been adding and linking the Sebastian Lasher family that arrived in Germantown, New York in 1710 for the last few years.|
If you are related I would love to hear from you and we are distant cousins.

Thanks for transferring Michael Seeger
|Susan||RE: St Marys Cemetery Stanfordville|
Hi Jan, nice to hear from you. I've essentially been offline, and off computer, for a year. 2013 ended on the highest of notes - my granddaughter was born on New Year's eve. Then 2014 hit and everything went straight downhill. Highlights included my dog being torn up by coyotes in early January (survived because they missed his jugular vein by a mm, and because my neighbor's 100 pound dog came to his rescue), went to my husband needing emergency heart surgery in Feb.(he's fine now), in April my sitting around doing genealogy caused my sacrum (lower part of the spine) to turn left, I ended up in the emergency room and in 4 months of PT, in August my brother had sudden inexplicable kidney failure (hopeful they've finally got it under control), in Sept my cat was killed by the gd coyotes. It was one thing after another. As one crisis ended, another began. A truly horrible year.
Needless to say, I never went to a single cemetery last year. The good news is that neither did anyone I love, except the cat. I'm now finally getting back into genealogy, but have to be careful not to get too into it, have to set a timer so I don't sit too long at the computer. So slowly but surely. I'd like to think I can get out into the field this year, but I'll have to take it as it comes. Just the idea of being able to wander around looking for dead people gets my juices running.
I've finally caught up with all my findagrave emails and edits.
FYI, you sent a note about the photos of Stephen Lesher's family in Woodlawn. I didn't actually take those pictures. My cousin Steve, who I normally do cemetery visits with, took them. He was on his own last year. He said when he found the Lesher crypt, it was actually open, not something the Leshers would probably be happy about, but he went into it and took the pictures of the individual names on the niches.
Glad to be back, glad to hear from you

First off, thanks so much for the photos of William, Catherine and Elizabeth's headstones. I was wondering if you have a transcription of William and Catherine's headstones, as they aren't legible in the photos. Thanks!

Sorry about that, it was a mistake. I have removed the memorial. Thanks for all your work and time on Find-A-Grave.

Thank you for the photo of Anna's tombstone. She is my 1st cousin once removed and I have very special memories of her. I only met a few of my mother's family and they were like sisters and cousins. Marie Ferrell Salzman
