Love genealogy and visiting cemeteries. I'm hoping by listing cemeteries I will be able to help someone in their research. Unfortunately I am related to very few of the entries I have made.

If you would like for me to transfer a page to you, please let me know (preferably by using the "suggest correction" button since that will provide both a link to the page and a link to your contributor page with the necessary ID# for the transfer).

Roberta Furst
Hi. Do you happen to know if Roberta Furst (42387909) is the daughter of Edna Furst (42387908)? I assume she is, since Edna's husband was named Robert Furst and he passed in 1900, as did Roberta. I am hoping you can help me verify it.

Thank you!

Wanda N.

Ada Maizzie Hugg - Drowning Victim - Buttermilk Falls 1917
G. Stoecklein,
I see that you have processed a number of cemeteries around Greenburg, PA. I am searching for the grave of a young girl named Ada M. (nickname Maizie) Hugg who drowned at Buttermilk Falls in Idlewild (near Ligonier, PA) on August 11, 1917. A Boy Scout by the name of Robert W. Eicher attempted to rescue her and also drowned in the process. See Find A Grave monument marker 24115261. For his efforts he was posthumously awarded the Gold Honor Medal by the Boy Scouts and the Bronze Medal by the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission. The Carnegie Fund report is written in such a way as to suggest that Miss Hugg was possibly from what was then called Longbridge, PA (or it could be that that is where they believed the incident occurred).

The Boy Scouts of America in Washington, DC is now looking for background on this event in preparation for the hundredth anniversary in 2017. Any suggestions on where to find her grave? I have index searched most of the nearby cemeteries and can find few if any Hugg records.

Many thanks,
