Beth (Jorgensen) Sparrow living in Polk County, Nebraska. Have photos and information on the following surnames: My father's line: Hanks, Fields, Jorgensen, Foster, Lindsay in Nebraska, Illinois, Germany and Denmark. |
My mother's line: Seggerman, Regnier, Junker, Michels, Barber, Sickmon in Nebraska and Illinois, Germany, France, and back to England thru Mayflower passengers.
Have photos and some information on my husband's family: His father's line: Sparrow, Foresman, Richart, Hubbard from Illinois and back east. Currently trying to gather records for my husband's Richart line back to the Mayflower.
His mother's line: Patterson, Thompson, Waterman, Smith and Krieg from Illinois and eastern states.
I also have researched my step-mother-in-law's family: Smith, Steward, Flick, Hill, Hughes, Whitacre, Cross and Glass from mainly Illinois, Indiana and east.
Please see my virtual cemeteries for specific relatives in these lines, and please contact me if you are related to any of these families. I like getting in touch with distant cousins.
Let me know if you want me to transfer someone so you can add more info to a relative. If someone is not my relative, I will usually transfer. Please state your relation in your requests for transfer.
Polk county cemetery info came from the cemetery or from the city/cemetery records. Polk county marriage info comes from the clerk's office at the county courthouse.
I am an avid cemetery photographer fulfilling requests in Polk county and trying to photograph all cemeteries in Polk county (where I live).
IF you use my photos in an online tree, PLEASE give credit by saying "courtesy of Beth Sparrow". It's very annoying to see your own photo in an Ancestry tree with no credit given. And you KNOW it's your photo because the bird poop is in the same place.

You have also created memorials to Gertrude Carlson (#32151075) and her husband, Anton Carlson (#32151078).
I believe Gertrude to be my Gertrude Carlson and sister of Henning Carlson.
When you are at the cemetery will you check to see if Gertrude was born in Sweden? (the birth data on the tombstone matches exactly)
Can you also find out more at the cemetery records office for data on Anton Carlson?
His tombstone is not as complete as hers.
If you do check newspaper clippings would you please look for the obits of these people?
Was there an Anna Carlson, wife of Henning Carlson buried near his grave?
If so, I am interested in that data.
I have found a reference that Mrs. Henning Carlson died in 1971 and is buried in Stromsburg Cemetery.
Can you locate her grave?
I have so many questions about these family members. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
Feel free to contact me at this e-mail address.
|LaVonne Eckstrom||Henning Carlson|
You created a memorial for Henning Carlson,
Can you tell me if the cemetery has a record on this Henning Carlson?
I am seeking the grave of one of my ancestors named Henning Carlson. He was born November 2, 1887, in Sweden.
I have not been able to find him in the US Census records after 1910.
Are you able to verify with the cemetery the full birth date of this person, as well as the date of burial?
I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide, as I am unable to find an e-mail contact for this cemetery.
|LaVonne Eckstrom||RE: Bernard (Bernie) Gissler|
Thank you for this information.
|LaVonne Eckstrom||Bernard (Bernie) Gissler|
Thank you for the photo of the tombstone of Bernie.
Can you also include a photo of the entire tombstone, so that the information for his wife is also included?
I am still seeking that information.
Do you also have the information of the location of the grave----plot, section, lot, etc.?
