Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in the suburbs north of Pittsburgh with my husband & two sons and own and operate an information technology company here.

I became interested in Find A Grave because of my long interest in genealogy. In 2005 I published "The Outten Family" which documents the Outten family that came to the American Colonies in the 1630s. In 2010 I decided to take pictures of the graves in a small cemetery in my neighborhood and post them to FAG. That little cemetery with 159 graves got me hooked. I'm an now working on documenting a number of cemeteries in my local area.

Feel free to use any of my pictures. If you do use a photo please consider leaving flowers at the memorial.

RE: Mary A Caskile Zimmerman memorial
Thank you,
Yes, my problem is that I can't Alex in the 1870 census either. He was discharged out east after the Civil War-this makes me think he may have married her somewhere in New Jersey and then he brought her back to Allegeny co.I've tried all kinds of combinations of Caskile, Caskill, Gaskile, Gaskill etc. but have not found her or a family in the area. there are Caskiles out east.

I can't find him in the 1880 census with his second wife,Sarah either. His son, Harry is there in 1880 living with his grandparents. This makes me think that he moved somewhere else after his second marriage in 1776. He was appointed postmaster in Allegheny co. in 1889. The name of the post office was Erwine. I've not been able to find out where that was in the county.

It is possible that he was left off the census, but two decades in a row is a bit unusual.

I appreciate you double checking the spelling of the last name for me.

Thanks,
Cathy Lindeman

Mary A Caskile Zimmerman memorial
Hi,
I've just received Alexander P. Zimmerman's obit from Butler Co. Library. In his obit, his first wife's name is Mary Alice Gaskill-a G instead of a C. I believe that the first letter of her last name on the stone is a G. not a C. It's hard to say if her name should be spelled Gaskile (as on the stone) or Gaskill( as in the obit.) I'll do some more research to see if I can find out.
Does that little cemetery have any burial records? If it does, that would be another way to check the spelling of her name.
Thanks,
Cathy Lindeman

St. Alphonsus Cemetery
Hi thanks for posting names and pictures from St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Wexford.
There is a James W. Brown (#71875839) that you have recorded with a common name such as this it was a tremendous help to find him listed. He was the son of a Philip Brown that is also noted. Are the Browns that you recorded the only ones in this cemetery? His wife Mary A. Brown died in the 1940s time frame and I have been unable to find her in the Pennsylvania Death Index as her name is another common name. Again I thank YOU.

Alexander P Zimmerman
Hi, I'm researching the Zimmerman family, especially his second wife Sarah (Sadie) C. Zimmerman. I'd like to contact Tony Klingensmith who gave you the information for Alexander's memorial. Do you have contact information for him? I'd like to ask him some questions about this family. Also, does West Union Cemetery have records? If so, do you know where they are housed?
Thanks for your help,
Cathy Lindeman

Mary Outten
I'm a descendant of Mary and Warren Bell Outten.. I received some pictures from my dad's cousin, of who I think are warren and mary. Could you help me verify that this is the correct warren and mary, as warren bell's father was warren also, and warren bell's mother was named mary also (mary Jane Morris) would love to chat with you about the outtens:-) pmtyler@eufaula.rr.com
