add Wade Allision Sloan to Thomas and Mary
Joan: Now you can add back Wade Allison Sloan (your 116898727) as a son of Thomas Henry Sloan and Mary Louise Stout. That association was the only correct child originally listed under that couple.

RE: 120052821 a correction
Joan: Both new memorials are up--146958304 and 146958022. I made linkages to Thomas' and Mary's parents. Also added three children who died young as proven by other records, but I doubt we'll have find photos of their stones even though they were buried at Damascus. The graves of the other children who survived childhood are hard to track, but we'll keep looking. Thanks for the help.

RE: 120052821 a correction
Since there is no way to remove the incorrectly assigned children, I'd recommend you delete memorials 120052821 and 120052894 entirely. I will post new memorials for both. I saved the photos you posted, and I will reuse those photos if that's OK with you. Finally, I will assign as many as possible of the valid children to this couple. There are at least 8. What do you think of this plan? Thank you for working with me on this.

One child out of the 6 is correct: Wade Allison Sloan. He was the first born of the couple.

120052821, Thomas Henry Sloan
Hello Joan,

Regarding memorial 120052821 for Thomas Henry Sloan: All six of the children listed for Thomas Henry Sloan and his wife Mary Louise Stout (memorial 120052894) are incorrect. In some cases the children listed were born before the couple was 10 years old. Could you delete those children? It's likely someone else added these children to your memorial. Mary is my first cousin, 3x removed, and I'd be happy to provide the correct list of children if you'd like.

Oakwood Cemetery, Statesville, NC
Thank you so much for photographing stones in Oakwood Cemetery. About five years ago we visited my husband's father's grave in Oakwood. There was no stone. His father had died when my husband was a teenager. He had not been back to the grave since because the family moved to Pennsylvania. When we saw there was no marker we went to a local monument company and immediately ordered a stone. Since we were on vacation (we are in Maine) and have not had the chance to return to the cemetery, we did not know if it had been placed or what it looked like. You have put our minds at ease. Again thank you for taking time to photograph the headstones and submit them to find a grave.
