Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my family tree since 1998. I wrote a book on the Lashells/LaShelle/LaShell family.

I am related to the following surnames: BAIN(E), BLACK, CHITTY, EASTON, HOUTZ, JAMESON, JEFFERS, KOSMICKI, KRACHT, LaSHELLE, LaSHELLS, LaSHELL, PITULA, RACE, RAYMER, SANDERS, TOMLINSON, WOOD & VAN ARSDALEN.

I love genealogy and I welcome any corrections or additions. I am really happy to answer any question or accept any suggestion, so don't be afraid to write. I am also happy to transfer a memorial to a family member or friend to maintain.

I enjoy helping others with their family research and try to post pictures from cemeteries in my area as frequently as possible. Pictures that I post on this site are for sharing, so please feel free to copy or post them as you like.

RE: Mary Avery Browning Picker
Thanks again, Jennifer - she is not a blood relative so no need to transfer. Thanks for the offer, though. Keep up the great work - it helps so many people discover the final resting place of their loved ones and truly honors their memories.

I added the photo. Let me know if this is the correct "Scruffy".
To you and your Mom - you're welcome.

RE: Shadow, Scruffy and No Tail
You are welcome. I'm a big animal lover too. Had cats growing up and then got my first dog when I was in my early 20s.
I did take a photo of a headstone for a "Scruffy", but I don't think its the right one. The dates seem to be wrong. Was he buried in the same area as the cats? The cats were at the far side of the cemetery near the fence. Anyway, all I would need is the plot # and I'll go back and take a photo. I'm living back here in Gardena again which is where I grew up.

Shadow, Scruffy and No Tail
Hello Jennifer,
I just fulfilled 2 of the requests on your pets. I would need more
info to find Scruffy tho. They have numerous pets named Scruffy. You can call the Pet Haven office and give them the name of the person who ordered the internment and they gave give you a location. Usually a letter/number combination.
Its not under Race or other last names that were given on the memorials. I think Shadow and No Tail were under La Salle or something like that. Scruffy was not.

RE: Alvenia Caudill Race # 107290233
Jennifer,

I noticed you have Alvenia married Hobart Race in 1943, then Hobart would have been her 1st husband. Hobart and Alvenia had two daughters.

Alvenia's mother's name is spelled Emmalee, according to the spelling on her tombstone. Alma always called her Emmalee, all one word.

I will get back with you thru your home email next week, maybe I can provide some info on Alvenia and her family. I do know she was a beautiful woman, and very nice and kind.

I sent you the link to Alvenia parents memorial. I posted a photo of her father on his memorial.

How are you related, I am guessing a granddaughter from Hobart's 2nd marriage.

Merry Christmas
