I generally try to add whatever additional bio I can find when I enter a memorial, military or otherwise. I use Ancestry.com , marriage and census records, and other similiar types of search sites.

Please contact me if I enter incorrect info or links.

I enjoy taking and posting photos.

Cemetery walking involves planning, time, gas, bees, flies, gnats, ticks, assorted other bugs, dogs, burrs, briars, weeds, tall grass, snakes, scrapes, cuts, mud, dirt, snow, rain, dust, wind, sun, rutted roads, hills and dales, getting lost, and BUCKETS of sweat.

I had to throw my lunch to a couple wild peacocks headed my way. Seems they have a fondness for egg salad.

I appreciate those folks who list their source when posting my photos to Ancestry.com :)

You requested a picture of Amos Miller Sec C, site 50 in the Alton National Cemetery. At this location the grave marker says 3-8 Amos Miracle Ohio. Would you like this posted to your request? The only Miller in section c is a Robert Miller 3-3 also Ohio.

RE: Livingston-Bramble
I appreciate everyone who does so much work for me and I just wanted you to know that I was able to find the graves of many family members. I did
not find a grave for W James Bramble nor his second wife..Elizabeth Debolt Pitzer Bramble. James was born 1784 in Baltimore, Maryland and died in Canton, Fulton, Illinois. I cannot find
his grave site. His wife is on the 1880 census
in La Salle, Illinois and collects a pension as
their son John J Bramble was killed in the Civil
War. I THINK she may be buried in Wright Co. Minn, A daughter from her first marriage Rhoda
Pitzer married Leonard Flanders. No proof but
that family was in Illinois as their son is buried
in Bramble Cemetery.

All more information than you need and I am not a
genealogist. All of Elizabeth Debolt Pitzer's children (6) with James Bramble died prior to her
death. Names of Bramble's came first from a family Bible.

More than you wanted to know but you can see why I
research in Illinois and appreciate all the work
of "others." Unfortunately I think I have only flown to Illinois to drive to Michigan where my husband was born. And APPRECIATING YOU AND OTHERS IS HUGE IN MY WORLD. THANKS AGAIN......MARY E.
BRAMBLE LYNN.

RE: Horatio
You're welcome! I visited Heston Cemetery looking for a cousin. When I saw how many stones were deteriorated I took pictures of all that remained. I've posted all I could identify, but still have some that I can't read.
