RE: Merle Van Buskirk Photo request
Hi Carolyn, Yes, could you please add the picture of their shared headstone to Viola's memorial? I must have recorded her last name incorrectly after calling the cemetery by adding a "son" so thanks to your picture I changed my bio for her to say Roberts.
Thanks! Mary

Merle Van Buskirk Photo request
Thanks so much for your earlier note about the Hillcrest Cemetery policy on photography. I called them today and explained I am a relative in another state and asked if someone can take a picture for me. The lady on the phone said that would be ok. Would you be interested in taking a photo for that grave - as well as his wife's who is buried next to him? If you are too busy I totally understand so just let me know and I'll update the photo request with additional information to see if someone else in the area can take it on. I appreciate your time and help with tracking this down. The gentleman is a veteran so deserves this memorial being complete.

WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP! THIS IS A COUSIN THAT HAS BEEN GONE FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS AND I DOUBT THAT ANY OF HIS FAMILY EVEN VISIT THE GRAVE ANYMORE. I WOULD NEVER HAVE A FAMILY MEMBER BURIED AT SUCH A COLD PLACE. THANKS FOR YOUR EFFORTS ANYWAY.

A friend had trouble in a cemetery, and I bet it was this one. I am related to the man's wife. Maybe I can get it myself, but it is a long distance away. Thank You for trying.

Carolyn,
Thank you so much for trying. I don't understand some cemeteries that have this policy. Some of us don't live any where close to these cemeteries and Find A Grave is our only help in getting photos.

Merle Van Buskirk Photo request
Hi Carolyn,
Thank you for posting the note about the problem with his photo request. Interesting that the cemetery only allows pictures be taken by family. I tried calling them this morning to let them know the situation and tell them I am his cousin in hopes that that will work. However, the office was not open. I'll keep trying and keep you informed. Thanks again - Mary

Carolyn,
Thank you so much for making the effort to get this photograph. I appreciate it very much, as I'm too far away to do it myself. How disappointing that the cemetery doesn't allow photos by non-family! Effie was my great grandfather's sister, so they probably wouldn't let me take a photo either. Thanks again for trying. Amy
