Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have always been interested in genealogy for as long as I can remember. I was blessed to have grown up near my grandmother, who happened to remember a lot of family names and stories. :) I credit my passion (or obsession to some...ha ha) as coming from her. I also happen to have a fondness for old cemeteries.

I have no problem transferring memorials to people who ask. I like to document whole cemeteries, giving me a lot of memorials that I have no relation to. So feel free to ask! :) On a side note, please do not email me asking for detailed info about cemeteries (like who is buried there, etc.). I do not have any specific information on a cemetery, other than what you see on this website. I find some on a map, and some are stumbled upon by just driving down the road.

I also do not mind if someone would like to copy my gravestone pictures for their family trees. It would be nice to receive a credit mention where ever you might post the pictures...but at the same time, it won't hurt my feelings if I don't. The pictures I take are for the "greater good" and I take them, hoping that someone out there will find them...maybe they might even help someone piece together part of their family tree that's been a mystery! :)

My family names: Carlisle, Rosan, Lively, Burton, Mathis, Ussery, Miles, Hicks, Lavender, Gustin, Trill, Offerman, Ritter, Wabbena, Sternberg, Tekstra, Doescher, Atkins/Adkins, Paton/Payton, Robinson, Bonham, Cleavenger, Barnett, Crawford, Fuller, Russell, Halfacre (just to name a few!)

William Moses Mathis, Sr.
I was looking at the closeup of the tombstone for William Moses Mathis and it looks to me like it is spelled WM. MATHIAS instead of MATHIS?
Sincerely, I am Barbara Mathis Williamson. I have the WILLIAMSON TREE on Ancestry.com. My email is barawill@tx.rr.com
Thank you for a reply.

Roy Ormsby Burton
HI Amanda, http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=126252250

Roy's daughter Myradene is really Frances Mureldean.

She is buried in Ridgecrest, Kern, California
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=75389704

In 1940, she is living with her maternal grandmother as Minerdean. shortly before Della Stanley Hansen died, Mureldean married Elmer Rogers and has 2 boys. Mureldean's mother was Maymie Hansen.

Roy and Maymie are together in the 1920 census, no childen.

In 1930s, Roy is m. to Helen, 1931, they lose their daughter Helen Maxiean, then Helen dies the same year and is buried in Lipe cemetery. Then Roy. between all that and the Tri-State tornado, and Mureldean almost dying from meningitis, I think he was worn out.

In 1950 Mrs Mureldean Rogers m. Wilford Stewart in 1950, Clay Co AR. And they move to Kern county soon afterwards. Wilford was an auto mechanic.

Her Wikitree profile is http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Burton-4497 She was my former mother-in-law.

Oh, Mureldean's 2nd son is named Roy. Dark brown wavey hair, hazel eyes, 5'10. And the road map of ireland spattered across his face. At least the last time I saw him.
