RE: thomas
That actually makes us second cousins then. I wish I had know when you were back here, we could have met up and visited. Do you have any info on John and Susannah and John. Like where were they from in Ohio etc. Next year I am planning a trip to Ohio to try and find more about them. Do you know if they came to Illinois. I always wondered why Michael kept coming back to Illinois. Amanda and your grandpa were both born in Ohio. It is great catching up with you again. I have been wondering what happened to you.

Thomas Family
Debra, how are you connected to the Thomas family. I may have text you before under a different name. Michael Thomas is my Great Grandfather, his some William is my grandfather and his son Lee Archie Thomas if my father. It would be interesting to know what you have and what I could share with you.

The photo on this memorial is also turned "sideways."

The photo you submitted to this memorial is turned "sideways." All you need to do is reposition it. I'm sorry if I did not explain better.

Josiah Carpenter (Son) and Timothy Carpenter (father)
Hello and good morning!

I wanted to point out that one of the memorials that you manage appears to have some incorrect information and familial linkages to it.

The profile in questions - Josiah Carpenter (Find A Grave Memorial# 10359614) is erroneously linked to a father by the name of Timothy Carpenter. While Josiah's father was indeed a Timothy Carpenter, **this is the INCORRECT** Timothy Carpenter. This was a source of confusion for many descendants as there are two main branches of the CARPENTER family in the area at the time, many with identical names.
These two branches are commonly referred to as the PROVIDENCE Carpenters and the REHOBETH Carpenters.
Josiah is part of the PROVIDENCE Clan, and the Timothy that is linked is part of the REHOBETH clan.

Josiah's parents were a Timothy Carpenter and Elizabeth Anderson.
Timothy Carpenter was born on 17 Oct 1686 in Rehoboth, Bristol, MA. He died on 23 Nov 1769 in Rehoboth, Bristol, MA. He was buried in Nov 1769 in Rehoboth, Bristol, MA SOURCE Carpenter Cousin Genealogy page backed by FTDNA Project -

If you would be so kind as to *remove* the erroneous link between Josiah and Timothy/Experience, and perhaps mention this common misunderstanding on the memorial page, it will help future researchers from getting confused.

Thanks in advance!
Joe Carpenter
