Hello Richard,
I am writing to request the transfer of Margaret Fadler who just passed away yesterday. If she is not related to you, I hope you would consider my request. Thank you in advance.

Marissa Cemetery
Richard: I see where you took a photo which is on the main page of the Marissa Cemetery in St. Clair Co, Illinois. Since you are a military man, I thought you might enjoy what we are doing here in MN. Our genealogy society has taken up a two-year project to locate records and a photo of the men who went down with the USS Arizona on Dec 7 1941 in WWII. It is setup a new memorial. I am a volunteer which was given 4 men to start working on and one is John Calvin Atchison who was born in Sparta but moved to St. Louis before he joined the Marines in Aug 1940. He has been tough to find information about but I know his parents were Xenophan Earl Atchison and Ethel Ragsdale. I am looking for a relative or descendant of this family. John had a sister named Jacqueline who has passed in 1993. Anyway, parents of Xenophan - Richard and Mary J. Atchison plus siblings of Xenophan are buried in Marissa Cemetery. A family of miners. Any chance you would know of any Atchison still in the Marissa area?

William D. Old II

Would you mind making a correction? My dad died in Shavano Park. He lived there for 34 years and was proud of that fact! I don't know if you post obituary links but his obituary will appear tomorrow in the Express News and is also on the Porter Loring website. Thank you so very much for posting this to findagrave!

RE: Ruby V. Magerkurth
Got it, thanks so much. Sorry for the confusion, but the person that transcribed the photo information flip-flopped a couple of letters in the name so it wouldn't show up if you did a search by name. I should have ALL burials that have a headstone in the Coulterville Cemetery by now, and if they are not listed they most likely have no stone. Thanks for all the additional information you've come up with!
