We have noticed that some people load photographs on Find-A-Grave and post a message saying they are not to be used without permission. PLEASE use the photos we submit if you'd like! That's why we put them on here!! |
This whole thing got started with her making a comment that she knew nothing about her family. It has now gotten TOTALLY out of hand!! We have now surveyed every accessable cemetery in Harrison and Mercer County, Missouri and researched those that are not accessable. Now we're starting to photograph them. We have submitted the surveys and photographs to the county GenWeb sites.
We enjoy tracing the "roots" and various limbs of our family trees, and are often surprised at the nuts that fall out! She seems to be related to EVERYONE. Him...not so much. We also enjoy helping others in their search! So if you have connections in either of these counties and have requests for cemetery photographs or obituaries, please let us know. We're not professionals, but we're not too bad at it!!
If we "manage" a memorial you are interested in or are related to, we'd be more than happy to transfer it to you! The exception would be if it were one of our own close relatives, then we'll probably decline the request.

I didn't even know my Great-great grandparents' name a few months ago, and this morning I received your picture! Thank you SO much! I'm new to Find A Grave, but it's been a frenzy of info. I had only used ancestry free to do bits of research previously. In Missouri I have found I am related to Nisley, Ferguson, Maxey (they came down after residing in Illinois) Another part of my tree, Dr. William M. Murphy (1859-1953 Omaha, NE)is from Missouri, but I can't find him before 1900 Sarpy, NE. He married the granddaughter of Pamelia Sherret Ellis Reeves, which also brings me to looking for Ellis in Missouri. I'm still figuring out how most sites work, but hope I can someday give back. I saw this photo was dated 2006, was it posted on Find A Grave, and removed? I haven't stored any photos, just made the notes linking them to the Find a Grave site. Should I be storing them on my own, or will the site keep them available? Thanks for any insight, and especially Thank you for the Headstone picture!

You are very welcome.

You're sure welcome. A stone for Lawrence ""Pat" Benskin is at the same location so I added photos for him. Do you know if they were husband and wife? If so, should a relationship link be created for their records?
