RE: Martha Brown: Aurora Cem.
This is an interesting family member; Martha was lost. She was listed as #130008254 under the name of Matilda Lee Cruff. She was married to N.S. Brown who is not N.S but Swain N. S. It was the cemetery marker that made us look at their names differently. So I changed her name on her Find A Grave from Matilda like it states in her obit. to Martha. Her headstone states Martha. I spoke to a relative and he stated he heard both relatives called different names. It was also from the picture he sent us. Martha & N.S. It appears years ago names were misspelled or unknown. I hope this helps. Let me know how I can fix it on my end.

Ben & Eliz Patterson
I notice that you have documented a Benjamin and Elizabeth Patterson in Ulysses Cemetery in Butler County Nebraska.

Am I to understand that they have no stones and no dates? How do you document them?

I am looking for a Benjamin and Elizabeth and have been expecting to find them in Farnam or Orafino, but have not had any success. Their son William Buchanan Patterson and wife are in the Farnam location.

Benjamin would be about 1820 - 1886
Elizabeth would be about 1812 - 1895

Thanks for the work you are doing.

Hannas family
I found 2 Hanna's that were killed in World War II and am trying to link them together. Both are from York Nebraska. Bryce E. Hanna and James R Hanna. I found out James is the son of a Dr. Edwin Hanna but so far I don't know the parents of Bryce. Thanks for anything you can do Loren.

John Chester Sandall
First of All thanks for the Photos. I am still trying to figure this one out. There is a John Chester Sandall from York killed in World War 1(1918) and we have another John Chester Sandall also from York killed in World War II(1944). I am still not sure how they are related . scratching my head. Loren

Louisa Phelps Wattles
Louisa (memorial #122523931) was the eldest sister of my great grandfather, Fred Phelps. She actually died in Anacortes, Skagit County, Washington. Her husband Elisha Wattles died when they were living in Beaver Crossing, so I guess that's why she was buried there. Washington records show her name as Lovisa Malinda Wattles. ther family trees show her as Louisa Maranda, and I can find censuses with Louisa, others with Lovisa, so I don't know which is correct. I would like you to link her memorial to those of her mother, Sarah C. Smith (married name at death; Michael), memorial #116188381, and her father, John W. Phelps, memorial #49134268. Louisa was the oldest of 8 children of John and Sarah. So far, I've found 4 on find-a-grave, plus I've added Fred, who was my direct ancestor. For any more details, contact me at argonia@yahoo.com.

RE: family information
Thank you so much. The name on the stone is oliver Wendell Albee but all of our Records show Oliver Wendell Allbee. From the research I have done, it seems as though some of the family may have started changing the spelling somewhere along the way, but I am not sure if he was one of them. The birth year of 1910 matches, but other than that, the only thing I know for sure is he was born in Centralia Illinois. Thank you so much for your help.

family information
Hello, I am searching for information on my mothers biological family. She was adopted out when she was 5. I have recently found a picture of a headstone on your site that I believe to be her biological father, but the last name is misspelled with one L instead of two. Is there any way you can help me figure out if this is him or not? Any information you would be able to give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

RE: Eliza/Elizabeth Proudfit
There are several older cemeteries around Virden, I will try and look in some cemetery books we have at the Historical Society and see if I find her name anywhere. Will let you know if I do.
