I was born and raised in Minden, NE, haved lived in Omaha, NE since 1974. I am doing my family genealogy for Albers-Bloomfield-Conyers-Gartner-Kuhn/Kuehn/Keen-Mathers-Nuss-Sasse and all their descendants. I have been working on genealogy for about 40 years and still feel I have only scratched the surface.|
I love exploring and photographing cemeteries, not only for myself but for you who are also searching.

In the 1930's my Dad bought acreage in Chapman and every time we made a trip through Scappoose we had to stop for an ice cream cone. I am wondering if that was her store? Brings back memories!

Thanks for catching my mistake! I'm not sure now how that happened.... I just had to change the cemetery name and the cemetery photo changed as well, so not a problem. Thanks again!

I would like to know where you got your information that Bettie's name was actually Elizabeth and not Bettie. I was able to verify the other info you gave me.

|Mazz||Collins - Shelby Cemetery|
I fulfilled your photo request for Byron Collins and if this is for your genealogy thought I'd let you know this is a Collins family plot and I took photos of the other headstones if you wanted to submit the requests and/or create the memorials:
Kate L., Rebecca, Hattie Creger, Elizabeth, Eli A JR
Also, rather curiously are two other markers of a different kind. One says WILLIE and the other K.L.C or possibly E. the engraving is... rope like? Tree-bark like? They are small and only inches away from Eli's, undoubtedly with this Collins group.

this was information from cemetery cards. no knowledge of how anyone is related. Could there be more than one h. Conyers? Original entry was by someone else then transferred to me.

I've sent a message to Find A Grave to merge the two memorials. Hopefully they will be able to move your photo. Find A Grave always defaults to the one that has the oldest date, this is the one that doesn't have the photo on it. I'll keep my eye out to see if Find A Grave moves the photo, if they don't I'll ask again to have you move your photo.

Will you please post your tombstone photo from Ellen Maren Jacobsen Morris Find A Grave 100790710 to her husband Eldon George Morris Find A Grave 70129604?
Thank you so much,

In the rear of the Collins Cemetery in Willow Lake is the Catholic Cemetery (St. James Catholic Cemetery). I took photos of Morris McGeough in this part of the cemetery and added them to Find a Grave. Now I noticed that they are already in the Collins Cemetery. Let me know how you would like to manage Morris, from the Collins or the St. James site?

|Knud Larsen||Meltine or rather Mettine Dybbro memorial and headstone|
Thanks for the photo :-) A bit sad that the family didn't get her birth name right on the headstone, but it's easy to understand why: She probably wasn't called anything else than 'Tina'. But in her birth record her given name was Mettine, a variation of the rather common girl's name 'Mette'.
The surname was Dybroe in the record. In the censuses Dybro was preferred. But as there weren't any strict rules for spelling names those days, Dybbro would be perfectly allright.

Do you know who the baby was buried with? I took picture of other side of marker but deleted it by accident. I could prob figure it out if you needed the info.
