Nathanial Thorn
Hi Susan,

Thank you so much for taking your time and energy to find my Uncle Nathanial's headstone. It means a lot to me as I can never seem to get back home to the mountains myself.

RE: Edwena Alexander
I will delete it. I used the list of someone My Floyd who documented the whole cemetery and he listed this as her stone. No problem, Thanks.

RE: Eli Mull
I believe that Eli was married to Jeanette Mull who died Sept 10, 1879 in Vallecito, Calaveras Co. at the age of 24. I do not know where she is buried.
Eli's parents are both listed as being born in SC, but the names were not on the death certificate, probably because whoever filled out the death certificate did not know the names.
Death certificates are filed with the county recorders office and are not available on line. The local newspapers are not on line either, as far as I know. I will see if I can find the obit at the county archives, which often has copies of old newspapers. If I find an obit, I will post a copy on his Findagrave memorial.

Maria Gilliland (Head Hunter)
Friendship Cem. in Marshall Co, AL
I have been trying to document this cemetery and made a few photos of your Cook family markers as the Cook surname had married into my husband's family line as well down the Miller line. I uploaded the pictures I took but if you are unhappy with them in any way please feel free to let me know and I will remove them for you. If you ever need any photos in the area or surrounding counties there are lots of great volunteers in the area. Thanks, Maria

Grave Photos
Would you mind if I used a few of your grave photos on my private tree? I'm referring specifically to some of the McGuire/Smith photos at New Hope in Marshall County, AL. I would, of course, give you the credit for taking the photos.

I am researching this family for a friend of mine, and I just wanted to thank you for posting your pictures, they're great!

RE: McFarland grave picture
You are most welcome! I took it last Saturday. You are probably also directly descended from Aaron Deveny (Aron Diviny and Sarah Black Diviny) I believe William McFarlands was their grandson....all buried at the same cemetery. I can send you a whole file of photos from Snapfish is you would like. Just send me your email address. The cemetery has about 40 graves with about 24 stones with inscriptions, some readable, some not. There are many graves marked with upright fieldstones.

Transfer guidelines state:
It is only four generations:
1 - you and your siblings
2 - parents and children
3 - grandparents and grandchildren
4 - great grandparents and great grandchildren

I myself after all I have added so not have my great great Grandfather nor will I ask as it is against what we are supposed to ask for.

A low estimate of descendants based on 4 children in each generation who live to adulthood and procreate...
2nd Great Grandchildren: 256
3rd Great Grandchildren: 1024
4th Great Grandchildren: 4096

I will add links, bios or any other infor you want added within guidelines and will do so quickly.
