He was born June 1, 1842 in High Bridge, Burlington, NJ.

He served with the 3rd New Jersey Infantry, with his Uncle, Gen. George W. Taylor, and with his cousin, then 2nd Lieut. Archibald Stewart Taylor, son of the General.

You took a picture of Alf Landon's headstone. 6454 find a grave memorial number. It's a great picture and I'd love to add it to my ancestry.com tree.

May I have your permission to copy any photos/info you have on findagrave.com?. I might already have one, but yours is so clear.

Brian, did you take pics of all the Landons headstones in that cemetery? That would be so helpful for some of us. Are you related to Alf? I'm a very distant cousin.
