Arthur L. Collins (1904-1989)
You have a Arthur L. Collins (1904-1989) buried at White Cloud, KS there is another memorial with a birth date of 1907 same death date and a tombstone photo. You may want to check and see if they are the same person. I know the one born in 1907 is the son of Roy Collins & Flossie McAlister. Happy Digging from Alaska, Patsy Hittle Gore

If it would be easier for me to make changes and additions to the Collins memorials I would gladly give you the names of my relatives and you can transfer management to me?

RE: Ada Park Taylor and Peter Taylor
THANKS for checking for me! Those are all related... I'll add links as I can. Several of those are children of Stella and Francis Edward, so I feel very confident that they are buried too. I'd appreciate if you would let me know when you find them. :-) BTW, I did notice, the memorial you posted for Margret Ann is a duplicate. There was already posted for her back in 2011.

RE: Ada Park Taylor and Peter Taylor
Wonderful! Are Stella Park Taylor (1878-1966) and Francis Edward Taylor (1875-1960) among those? If so, I would be very happy to manage them!

RE: Ada Park Taylor and Peter Taylor
Amber, thank you again! I'm certain we have MANY relatives there. I'm especially interested in finding the burial information for anyone with the surname HAWKINS, SINES, PARK, CRANE, TAYLOR, and CRAWFORD. Could you look through the list and see if they are there?

Hi, this person is a childhood friend of mine. You have her listed as deceased. She is very much alive. When I saw her name listed it made me very sad. Then I started thinking she probably has a double headstone ,like I have, they put your birth date on it then when you die they come back and add death date. I do know her husband died a few years ago. So if the stone does not show a death date you may not want to put their name down. I am happy to have someone putting in people names that are deceased because I live 350 miles from White cloud and don't get back much.

Amber, you are truly a TREASURE here at FindAGrave. Thank you once again for your assistance with my family. I appreciate the transfer of the memorials for Ada and Peter. I hope you are doing well and that you enjoy the upcoming 4th of July holiday! :-)

Gaye Hill
Kelley Cemetery
Hello Amber,

How nice that you are able to take photos in the area.

I do NOT know anything about the area at all. I do know that this is a probable very small, possible just a family farm cemetery.

The Kelly/Kelley family was not one of the better families of the area. They had 3 sons hanged for murder and other offenses.

This is a note left from another of their distant descendants:
Lydia -We have been searching many times in Kansas for you. We found an old map with the Kelley Cemetery listed. So glad to be able to find you. Love, Don and Joyce

Perhaps the local historical society would know? I could not find it online and the historical society has limited hours and no web site.

Anything you might find would be welcome!

Gaye Hill

RE: James Gilbert Hopper
Thanks again. The photo for my great grandmother came out very dark. If you get a chance it would be really nice to get a better photo. Happens to me all the time. I take the photos, get home and some are not as good as others. I truly appreciate your help.

Thank you also for the photo of my great granduncle I really appreciate it. Any Hopper's you happen to find in that cemetery are more than likely my kin. Thanks again

RE: Elvira Hopper
Thank you so much. That would be the correct name. She married my great grandfather Melvin Hopper and he died in 1914. She then married Alfred Simmonds in 1816. Thank you so much. Alfred Simmonds didn't happen to be there also did he?

Doris had a brother Robert; however, I don't know if he is one and the same "Wolf River Bob" about whom you asked. Very likely.

Grave maintenance
Thanks for checking with her! I am hoping that she offers some type of annual cleanup service. We have two relatives in a cemetery in the northeast that offers an annual cleanup and photo service for $15 a grave... but with enough families contributing, it allows a paid crew to come in yearly to tend the cemetery. I imagine the cemetery is fairly overgrown the rest of the year, but it's nice to get that photo annually to know that the markers haven't disappeared, etc.

Samantha E Park - THANK YOU!
I just saw that you also found Samantha Park's grave too. THANK YOU! I wish it wasn't so far up there (I'm in South Louisiana). We have no family left anywhere close to White Cloud, but I can see that the graves need tending. Do you know if this cemetery has a manager I could contact to ask about maintenance services?

Thanks! I am very happy to have the photo for my work. Are you a relative? I love to be in contact with distant cousins. This genealogy work is obsessive. I can hardly put it down for very long.

Donna Lyle Alumbaugh
Hi Amber, thank you for nice headstone photo of Angeline and Robert Priddy. The headstone appears to have been added later by a well meaning relative and does not match the death certificates by a year so I did not change the dates.
Sorry to hear you have the Chron's disease. Hope you get good help with it.
Wish you the very best.
