|SLR Sanford||Re: Cemetery Headstones of our ancestors|
Hello, I am a descendant through the Tudor/Hamm/Sanford line. I wish that I were closer in miles so that I could get permission and clean it up with love and respect from my heart, fence it off and find someone to maintain the area.
It may be possible to have someone from the nearest genealogical Society go out and do this job. They should have a book or type of record in their library that shows all of the names and places where the markers should be. This is so sad. To think that some of our ancestors are entombed with gold, glitter and guards. And, these ancestors deserve the very care and respect as do others - if not, even more for what they have gone through. If someone will be so kind as to send me the location and names, I will go from there to get some help in this matter... Cows or no cows. My parents purchased a few hundred acres in MN, once and realized there was a burial ground behind where they had built their house which did not show on their property papers. They drove to town, did research and bought headstones for those who did not have them but were on record. My email is: ForestCottage@hotmail.com, and I am Ley/Shirley(Sanford)Knight of the Tudor/Hamm/Sanford lineage. Isabel was my gr-grandmother. I am retired in Oregon. I am also: SLR Sanford on this site and have trees with Ancestry. My respects to all. Ley

|C. Dudley Murphy||To Remove a Memoral|
Does anyone out there know how to remove or deleat a Memorial or Memorials out of Find A Grave?
I have duplicate ones in here and need to remove the ones I put in under the name of C. Dudley Murphy and keep the ones under the name of Dudley Murphy.
The ones created by C. Dudley DO NOT have a edit or deleat on the page.
If you know how to do this reply to,
Thank you so very much.

|Emerson McAfee||RE: John Tudor|
No problem. We ate lunch in richmond after church and it was about 10 minutes up there and I didn't have to fight thru any weeds to get to it. The Long from Danville has done a great job at restoring it. My brother-in-law has a farm with a small one like that, maybe a few less graves but he never kept the fence up and the cattle ran thru it. His father always kept the cattle out of it but you know how this younger generation can be. If I get back up to Buckeye again I'll see if I can get a better pic of David Prewitt. Don't understand why I couldn't find it the first time.

It is being cut and the big problems are like your family member, the briars are growing inward and for some reason they are not cutting it back. money?? A couple good days and some sweat and most of it could be cleaned up. Don't know what the process is for setting the stones back on their bases.

No problem. Just wish there was a way for these folks to get their cemetary fixed up. If they could get some scouts to do it for a merit badge it wouldn't cost them a thing. Hope someone there gets that idea.
