I deleted my memorial. No one should have to die twice.

Thanks, Bill

Martin Bigham
Posted my grandpa Robert C. Bigham's will(s) on Find A Grave. If it full of names and places, and you will see my initials concerns about Martin. However, I will send you the 1850s family letter as soon as I can find it again. :)

I do have transcriptions. I will post for you. I think the naming pattern of the 9 sons was originally traditional Protestant Scot- wife's father, his father, etc... then biblical, (Joseph, John,...) then, after patriots and those relevant to American society at that time. One of "Unc" Martin's close siblings has the middle name "Washington"...tho I do not know what my gr-grandfathers middle name was...yet.

Martin Van Buren Bigham/Sarah Breeding
Greetings! Someone recently posted Martin Bigham (m.Sarah Breeding) as one of the children of James Bigham (d. 1817, KY) and Sarah (Freeman). I know we had corresponded about this before, so I wanted to bring a new tidbit to your attention. The Livingston County KY history center has copies of 1850s letters regarding my gr-uncle going to family in Arkansas....and the only family he had there would be the Bighams/Breedings. Martin Biogham was born in KY, then lived near other Bigham brothers in Carrol Cnty, TN (where some of his children were born), then they headed to Arkansas. :)

Virgil C. Bigham
please note my comment on his Memorial. I believe he was grand-son of James Bigham and Sarah Freeman, (Mecklenburg, NC - KY) and son as noted on Find A Grave.

That would make Breeding his Kin and neighbor.

Thanks Tamara

RE: W. R. Ramer
I just checked, and it looks like the death date is Sept. 19, 1911. It is not 1964. The birth date is Feb. 4, 1839.
I hope that this helps.

Thanks for the heads up regarding the incorrect birth year for Sarah. Per Findagrave rules we are to record what is on stone. I put a note in her bio section that the birth year is incorrect on stone.

Take care

You are most welcome. I didn't know if you were a relative or just posting grave sites. I sure hope it finds it's way to his grave. He was a purple heart recipient too.
I was kind of taken back from your last name too. My paternal grandmother's maiden name was Smith. I am from Arkansas originally and most of my family still lives there. It's a small small world!
Have a wonderful afternoon.

Came across this on facebook today and thought this might be the same person. It would be nice to get this grave marker to right person.

The St. Francis County Sheriff Department has recently come across some brass grave markers. If you have any information that would help the department please contact us at 870-633-2611. We are asking everyone to share this information with friends and family on your Facebook page. Thanks in advance for any information you can offer in this matter.

With utmost respect,
Sandra Dyce Stromberg

Thank you for all of the added information on the Roaches and Vaughns. Also thanks for adding the photos. One good photo of the person, to me, helps to bring a memorial alive!

Take care,

RE: Gravestone photo
You're very welcome, I'm glad I could help. The cemetery sexton records has the correct spelling, the lady who made the memorial made a typo.
