RE: Reese, Thomas Blackstone Sr.
My father knows the way and has contact info for the owner of the property. I'm just hoping that his health will improve to allow him to make the trek in. Do you have, by chance , a photo of Thomas blackstone Reese, Sr. 's stone?

Added by Rhonda on Aug 06, 2014 8:11 PM

Reese, Thomas Blackstone Sr.
Hi Jerry, I see that you have been to the Thurmond/Reese cemetery. Wondering if you photographed this grave? I would love to go there but want to take my father along. He is physically unable to go at this time (due for a hip replacement) we will try to go in winter when he is feeling better and we have less undergrowth to trip over. TBR, Sr was my g-g grandfather. Would love to have a photo of his stone. Thanks regardless for the additions that you've made. Levi Doty Reese was my g-gfather.

Phil Ray
RE: Duke Family
Hello Jerry,

There was a an Elizabeth Duke (1852 - 1900), who was a daughter of William Green, who married a Lineberger, but she is buried in Lowndes County. She went by "Mollie" though. She is also my 3rd great-grandmother. My research so far says that they did not live in Screven County.

She, your Elzabeth (1851 - 1866) maybe a relation to my Dukes.

Sorry, I could not help more.

Poplar Grove
Death certificate list Poplar Grove as the burial place for Lucinda Garvey. Would there be an old or new or another with Poplar Grove in the name for a cemtery in the area. Thanks for all your help.

Kari Olson
Joanna and John Bond
Thanks for checking and looking for them Jerry.
I put them in that cemetery after finding the Owen County Cemetery listing shows a John Bond buried here, with no date.
I was hoping they might be there, since their son Beuford is and has a headstone.
Did you come across a John Bond with no dates at least?

Thank you so much for adding the photos to memorials for Blanche and Robert Walton!

Robert and Blanche Walton
Thank you for taking and adding the photograph of the possible burial site for Robert and Blanche Walton; who were buried, August 1800, in the cemetery of the Walton family plantation, known as Rosney, in Augusta, Georgia.

Jerry, it is thanks to individuals like you; who volunteer their time to bring ancestors closer together, even if it is only through a photograph of their final resting place. This will help future generations in our family to know a little more about their ancestor. ~ with appreciation, George Gaston

Brown Cemetery
Thanks for searching for Brown Cemetery to take a photo of a headstone for Joseph W Brown. I am sorry that you were disappointed.

I enlarged the cemetery photo and discovered that there is only one headstone in the cemetery although there is no indication of who the stone belongs to.

Bless you for all you do and Happy St. Patrick's Day from Janet Find A Grave 47198955

William and Emily Allen
Thanks so much for looking at the church records to see where William's grave is located. Was there any other information in the church records for this family? Who did you get in touch with to look at the cemetary records?

Added by Angela Widener on Feb 06, 2014 1:01 AM

I have entered the photos your requested of the Powell family in Hillcrest Cemetery. Sorry they are a little wet. It was early morning. I have entered all their burial locations in the edit section. If you go to your homepage to the edit tab at the top you can accept them all there and they will drop into your memorials. I did also take photos of all the other people in section H with the last name Powell. I will be checking to see if they have been entered and if not putting them in today. If any that I enter are related to you and you would like a transfer please let me know as I am not related and will be happy to do so. I hope this was helpful.
