Thank you for trying to find Henry's grave marker. I will contact the church to see if they have a record and location for his burial.

Old City Cemetery

Galena, Illinois

There is no headstone for Joseph Whitham nor was he recorded in the 1938 cemetery reading by McClanahan or the 1948 reading done by Hansen published 1985.

No problem! Glad to do it!

I took photos of all the markers on the lot if there are an relationships with the other folks there.

Here is the online database for Rock Creek. Just search by section and lot.

Have a great day!

I am not sure how to add records to the website itself. Maybe contacting them, they can explain since they maintain the website. If you would like a copy of the document I indexed, let my know and I will send you the link to download it for free.

All the information I have, has been added to Milcah memorial. Unfortunately, the Plat book and cemetery card carried no additional information.

Hi I have a better picture of Rachel's stone
but if you are wanting the 6 lines of small print
on the bottom of it, it is too faded to read. Betty

RE: Anthony Orange
Straight out and up the hill from the office just past the outdoor crypts. His wife is on the left with and upright marker; he has none. The lot behind her was not marked correctly and in intrudes on the lots owned by the Orange family. The office is well aware (now) of all of this after investigating the incident. There's no need for a photo though cause his wife has one already. And since they are working on correcting the borders, I'd just wait til the dust settles...

Thanks but I've working with them since day #1 sort of. Someone was supposed to do that photo but then backed out. A real long story that the new staff is working on...Again, thanks...Fred

Hi Denise, Have you got an idea of where this cemetery is yet.

RE: John Dalzell
It was hard to read, but I believe it says:

Died April 28 (unable to read year)
Aged 55 years, 3 months, 2 days

That's about as good as I could read it.

RE: Barrett graves at Elmwood
Hi Denise - I don't have any other information about the barrett graves at Elmwood Cemetery, however, the volunteer photographer SWF is taking a complete survey of photos of every grave in the cemetery. She basically told me to leave Elmwood to her as she was working on this long-term project with other cemetery volunteers. I think you should send her the location information of the Barrett graves you are looking for, and I feel confident that she will find them as the project evolves - if they are marked at all.
Best regards -

Thank you for the compliment Denise.

John was the 7th great uncle of my children. John's sister, Remember Ellis Smith was their 6th great grandmother.

It isn't often I get to work on actual family here at findagrave.

I'll dig into my stuff this afternoon/eve & find out if she gave me more specifics on location. I posted my e-mail on my member page, so if you send me your e-mail I'll send you a link to my Ancestry tree. The Williams line is my favorite, its the branch I started with when I began doing my research:)

Hi Denise, I live in Moriah. Can you tell me where the cemetery is located? I would be glad to see if I can find any remains of stones. Crystal

Hey Denise! We're cousins:) I'm off of Apollos & Hannah thru their son John. I had the Historian for the town of Westport look for them a few years back. She said that when she went to where the cemetery was supposed to be apparently all the stones had been removed or buried and a trailer put on the site. Doesn't hurt for a photo request - maybe they'll get unearthed someday:) I'm in Kansas. Glad to hear from you:)

No, there was nothing on the big stone so that's why I will go back as everything else is covered with the snow & ice.

RE: Ketura Bean
No problem at all. The cemetery is down the street from my house. This was my first time taking photos for Find A Grave. I'm going to be asking for some, so I figured I ought to do my part and fulfill a few. I've got some more pictures if you want them. I tried to figure out what the gravestone said, but the text was very worn. I think I would need to do a rubbing to figure it all out. If you are interested I could try it when it gets a bit warmer.
