was there any other names besides Dollie and Thomas on this 4 sided stone?

Thank you again
For looking for my gr-grandfathers grave. I'm glad you were able to locate his father which gave me a greater peace. My grandfather use to talk about his grandfather often and it was awesome to see his grave from all these miles away. He must have been a great man.

RE: Mary Scott
I know her fathers name was Pharoah and her mother was Silvie(a) Jones Scott. I know the names of her siblings. I know who they were owned by, she was born free. I know there were two Charlie Scotts; mines and the other one I have eliminated after a conversation with his grandson. I just need to be able to confirm she is Charlies mother and the names are not just a coincidence.
Are you in the Eastover/Columbia SC area? Should we communicate privately?

Yes I have seen her death certificate. That is how I know she is buried at Daughters. I am trying to confirm if the informant is my grandfather since I do not have any information on his parents.

Fort Jackson National Cemetery
Hi, I requested an edit for a memorial in Fort Jackson National Cemetery and wanted to provide source information. The Department of Veterans Affairs has a website that gives the birth date, death date and plot number for each burial in National cemeteries.

Thanks for your contributions to Find A Grave!

I got the info from the "1850 Kershaw County Census with Expanded Genealogical Information" compiled by Catawba-Wateree Chapter, SCGS in 1997. I keep hoping I can talk my husband into at least visiting my ancestors burial places in SC!

All these years... and you are the 1st to ask. We did not get our family back across the ocean unfortunately, but typically his theory was correct.
