RE: Joseph H Harper
Please send a message to the 1st Alabama Cavalry, USV Website with your email address and I will send you mine. It won't be seen by anyone but myself and the webmaster. Just start the message off with something like "Glenda, here is my email address, please send me yours", or something like that. I hate to put it out there in the public. This is the link and there is a place to send a message to the website.

Memorial shows his death 1929 and Crestwood Cemetery began Sept. 11, 1940. Was he removed from another cemetery to Crestwood?

Crestwood Cemetery Request
I am a volunteer and attempted to locate the grave you listed at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden Alabama. I was told it would cost me $20 per grave that I requested the location of. But, It would be free to family members. If you would be willing to call them and request the location yourself and message me the information, I would be happy to get the photo for you. I already have a map of the cemetery.
Thank You-

Sally Bell Anderson
You requested that I change her name to Sadie but I have no idea where she is buried. Since you are new I'll tell you that the easiest way to ask for changes is to use the edit button on the top right side of the memorial. That way I will get a direct click back to it. Or when you contact someone on their message board, always give the memorial number. I have over 12,000 memorials and they are from several different states. So for Sally just send me her number and I will be happy to edit it for you. Thanks, Patti

Georgia Girl
Are you descended from the Maddox family of Spalding County, GA? There is a Maddox Fam. Cem., in Spalding Co., and buried in the cemetery is a Davis W. Maddox (m. Carolin McTier). I'm descended from Mary Elizabeth F. Maddox, 3rd G GM (1st w/o William Hill Simmons, Sr., m. 2nd., Elizabeth Ann Hunt, sister of Thomas "Goodwin" Hunt, "2nd., G GF), Pike Co., d/o Joseph and Comfort (Wingate Maddox, Putnam Co., GA, 4th G Gpts. My Maddox family were originally from England and Somerset Co., MD. Have read there was a Maddox family from St. Mary's Co., MD. It's possible they were all related. No, I'm not on (only F.A.G.). Always glad to hear from a Maddox/Maddux Cousin!
