RE: Clarks
I checked out Hubert Rhodes Bunch death certificate and it says that he is married and the informant is Mrs. Ruth Page Bunch at the same address that he is living at... I think that is a definite yes to the married question. Glad to be able to help! Vonna

Lt. Bill Pittman
Ralph I. Sturtevant
Hi, Phil! I have looked up his name and dates through the census files of NC,SC,& Va. It's almost like the man never existed. There are other Sturtevants, but no Ralph's. It makes it very difficult for links to wives. I did find the same marriage date thru census. Sorry Bill

RE: Sikes
Hi, I bet you are right that he married more than once. He is actually buried next to Julia. Given the age difference, I was not sure if she was his wife or his daughter. Because you have confirmed she was his wife, I will link him to her that way. Thank you!

You are welcome, as you can see the engraving is slowly being worn off, some the stones were very hard to read, hope they were okay. The Clark plot is very large and has a number of graves, some of the people are not named Clark; but, are probably related.

Abigail Brown Thackston! What a story and what a name! Thanks for understanding--it is best to get it right whenever possible. Have a great day.

Hi! I don't mean to be argumentative, but another person (relative?) gave me the middle name of "Darris" for him. Do you have any confirming documentation for the middle name being "Doris"--like a birth or death certificate? Because obituaries can be full of typos. "Darris" seems more probable than naming a male "Doris." Will be glad to change it to "Doris" if you can confirm for sure. Thanks.

Thank you Phil. I've added the parents connection. I don't know why I hadn't done it previously. Sometimes the amount of information and work to do can be overwhelming. It is always wonderful to get information and/or a nudge from another family member. Have you ever visited your 3rd GGrandfather's grave? It is a lovely old private cemetery.

RE: re: Malcolm McMillan
You can't remove it, you'll have to go to the incorrect wife's memorial and click on the "edit" tab to send the contributor who added it a message. It happens. I've been trying to get someone to remove the "grandmother" they added to a memorial rather than the "Mother"...for years! The contributor has 30 days to respond to the edit, after that time passes you can send an email to: edit@findagrave.com and ask them to remove it for you. Even that can take a while!

Like I said, welcome to find a grave :)

re: Malcolm McMillan
Hi Phil,

Welcome to find a grave! Feel free to ask any questions, I'll be happy to answer them. Find a Grave does say not to add photos taken from the paper when someone dies, but that doesn't stop many from adding them anyway. I'm a member of ancestry and will look up yearbook photos if an obit mentions a school. Unfortunately in Malcolm's case, ancestry didn't have the year he attended the Citadel on file. I was very disappointed.

You might like to read over the "frequently asked questions" section. When you're at a memorial (or your home page), you'll see in the top left a gravestone with a "?" on it, click on that and it will take you to the main page. On the bottom left you'll see the Frequently Asked Questions link. I still check it from time to time because they always seem to be changing.

Take care,
Robin
