RE: Norman Gillis
Hello Happy-camper

Yes I did create the memorial for Norman Gillis. I have just been adding a section at a time in Evergreen. I do not know Norman or his family. I believe I have 5 Gillis's listed in Evergreen. Do you know them?

Hi, I made the changes. I'll be glad to add connections also. I tried to find her parents but wasn't able to locate them on Findagrave.

RE: Clifton Davis Photo request
Hello Happy Camper,
I added the new memorial at the correct cemetery for Clifton Davis Jr. I told Billy Davis that you were related and he said he probably knows you. Billy has been in Tampa for a couple of years now. He is in Bible school. Thank you.

RE: Clifton Davis Photo request
Hello,
Thank you very much for finding the correct burial information. I was going by what I was told. I remember calling the funeral home and talking to Billy. Anyway it is corrected. I have added Clifton to Pine Forest Cemetery and deleted the entry in Shiloh. Clifton Sr.'s mother is in Shiloh. I appreciate your time and the contributions you make to Find a Grave. If there is every anything I can do for you in Jacksonville just let me know.

RE: Clifton Davis Photo request
Hello Happy Camper,
I am not related but his Father and family have been friends for the past 45 years. When I was in school I worked part time for a contractor in Jacksonville and Cliff Davis was doing the drywall work. We became friends and I know Cliff's wife Joyce and his sons Billy and Mike. I met Clifton jr. Once at Cliff's house but really never knew him that well. I was telling Billy Davis about Find a Grave and I linked Cliff and His son Clifton Jr together and put in a request for a photo. Billy thought there was a marker. Mike Davis's wife's Mother passed away in the past week. I appreciate your effort. It must be an unmarked grave. God bless.

RE: Cemetery
Hello,
I have never created a new cemetery but it is not hard. I would caution you on creating one too quickly. Have you done a cemetery search of the county it is located in? Sometimes it is listed under a slightly different name. If you exhaust the search of the county and an adjoining county if one is close ( sometimes the contributor who created the cemetery has listed it in the wrong county) , then you can create one. Here is the instructions from the frequently asked question..this is the link..make sure to search, search, search and then search a little more. A duplicate cemetery can be a nightmare to correct after the grave are listed.

When adding the links remember. Make sure you are signed in. You can add Mother, Father or Spouse. Go to the memorial you would like to link and write down the Find a Grave memorial number that is located at the bottom left of the memorial.

Linking memorials together
Good morning Happy Camper,
Linking memorials is nice. On any memorial that you manage there is an area for Mother, Father or Spouse. You must be signed into Find a Grave to be able to perform the link. On the left side of the memorial at the top is the date of birth then the date of death. The next item is add bio and then comes the selection for link family members. If you click link family members a window will open. There is areas for the number of the memorial you would like to link. Each Find a Grave memorial has an unique memorial number which is on the bottom left of the memorial. Write down or copy and paste the memorial number into the space provided.

Each memorial can have a link for Mother, Father or spouse. That means you can go to a memorial and link the child to the parent but you can't go to the parent's memorial and link back to the child. If a memorial is managed by another contributor and you would like a link added, go to the edit button on the top right of the memorial and click it. Select the suggest a correction. Just state that you would like a link added and type in the relationship, the name and the memorial number.

Try one and if you have a problem let me know. We will get through this together. You will be adding links in no time. God bless.

Hello,
The photos look good. I transferred the memorials to you so you can add biographies etc. to them. Welcome to Find a Grave. If I can be of any help or you have a question don't hesitate to contact me. I had a lot of help from other contributors when I started on Find a Grave. Welcome aboard. I hope you enjoy it. It can be a little addicting, but it is a good addiction. God bless.

Hello Happy Camper,
I am unable to edit the caption or delete a photo or flower that has been added to a memorial by another contributor. I believe you added the photo . If this is the case you are able to edit or delete the caption or photo. If you have any problem please let me know and I will walk you through the process.
