Thank you for the photo. Leon was a good friend and study mate in college. I talked to him in the year before his death and I knew he was ill. I had not heard about his death until recently.

Thomas Hearne (1780-1836)

Thank You for the note on not finding Thomas' headstone at Oakview Cemetery.

The records and sources put him in that area at the time his death, and since his wife and daughter are buried there ... I was hoping some sign of him would be there too.

I added a "couldn't find" note to his memorial page in hopes that someone may have more info or a solid source.

Please keep him in mind as you trek around the area.

One of his relatives; William Hearne (1746-1832) Find A Grave Memorial# 39843205 is buried nearby, at the I. D. Hauser Plantation Cemetery, Lowndes County, Alabama, USA.

There are supposed to be several other graves there ... so there's a chance he might be located there?

I believe there's already a photo request submitted for the Hauser Plantation Cemetery. If you happen to accept that one, please note the other names there, as I only see William's on Find-A-Grave.

Thanks again, and have a great weekend!

- Mike

Thanks for the photo
Oh my Goodness! A grave photo for Elizabeth P. Davis Miles!

I requested that photo years ago and thought no one would ever get for me. You did an excellent job and so glad you get the close-up as well as the other one.

Rev. John Miller, D.D.
Thank you for taking the photographs of Rev. John Miller's tombstone at Hamburg Cemetery in Wilcox County, Alabama.

Tiffany, it is thanks to individuals like you; who volunteer their time to bring ancestors closer together, even if it is only through a photograph of their final resting place. This will help future generations in our family to know a little more about their ancestor. ~ with appreciation, George Gaston

Thanks so much making making ALL the photos.
I am excited about having the requests fulfilled. I think you took about 13 photos, and I really appreciate your work.
Would you have happened to have made a vertical photo for Laura Alice Walthall Jones headstone? ....Maybe one that just shows the inscription / middle portion of her headstone. If you did, please post it too.
Thanks again for all your hard work and effort!

Do you live near Wilcox County? I hope you did not have to travel far.
I was especially pleased to receive the photos for Wm. Walthall and Laura, his daughter. All of them really.

Thank you so much for the photo. I thought I was going to have to drive through that area on my next trip from Va to La to get that photo. And, that's a pretty innovative way to get readable information. I have been using light chalk and the rinsing it off after the photo but will have to try your trick next time. Thanks so much.
