Inez and Cora Wise
They were indeed sisters. They were the daughters of George and Leanna (Fossinger) Wise. Since I could find no Ohio marriage for Cora and Frank I looked at the 1900 census and found a Cora Wise of the right age, born in Ohio, and living in Grant Co., Indiana with Jerome and Parcy Harter. She was Parcy's sister. I suspect that she married Frank in Indiana. Jerome and Parcy were married in Summit Co., Ohio. The 1880 census finds Parcy with parents George and Leanna in Richfield Twp., Summit Co, Ohio. There is a sister "R. Inice" aged 6 and a brother W. Harry aged 5. In 1900 this Harry W. Wise is living with Frank and Inez. George Wise married Leah Ann Fossinger in Summit Co. in 1870. On the various birth and marriages of their children I could find she is listed as Leanna, Lovina, Leana and Sarah! Always as some variation of Fossinger, however, so it is the same person. Her gravestone reads "Laanna". I could not find George's death or burial. Cora was born in Richfield Twp. 14 May 1883 to George and "Lovina" Fossinger Wise.

RE: Cora Jennings memorial
Hi Judy,

It was the marriage entry, not the obit. I do not have a copy of the actual entry, just saw it listed in the index. You can download all the ABJ indices online from the Akron Public Library site.

RE: Cora Jennings memorial

I couldn't find the marriage either; possibly it was out of state. However, it is listed in the Akron Beacon Journal Index for Oct. 1904 - Frank Jennings and Cora Wise. It's possible that she had a former marriage, in which case that would not be her maiden name, but since she was pretty young, I am thinking it was. Since Inez was a Wise also, I'm betting they were sisters. :-)

RE: Frank Rice
Thank you for letting me know so I can remove the picture from the memorial. Do you have the link to the other memorial and I can the picture? Or you can take it and add it.

RE: Frank Rice
Hi Judy,

Sorry it took me a while to get back to you. This is the website I found the picture of Frank through.

I've been trying to add pictures of North High to the memorials for the people in the pictures. Looks like he was with the class of 1921. If I can help you with anything else just let me know.

More than likely, lol. I think we all congregated out of Mountain Valley-Leatherwood-Callands area. Who was your dad & grand dad, if I know that, I can most likely trace you.

William Frank Montgomery
Yes, you are correct. The plot was probably purchased by William for his mother. I have removed William's memorial from Lakewood. Thank you for providing the information.
