Sorry for the late reply, been busy, anyway as far as anyone knows they are still buried there in front of the pool/entrance area. Before I posted the names I asked the Madison county historical page on Facebook about them and history of the graves. A few people have chimed in and one had a link listing the names I added. I hope that helps.

I havent been able to get to the cemetery. I don't have a name or number for the landowner either. I fear I have hit a dead end. When and if I ever get information that will get us access, Ill let you know.

The Blanton line is Silvanous Blanton. No Doyle from a latin school that I've run upon. Thank you so much.

Do you know any Blanton's that ever lived in Florida? I'm looking for relatives of Darla Blanton, her dad was David and her mom was Ellen and she had a brother Alan. They were my next door neighbors growing up in Tampa.

Hi there! We must be cousins then. How are we related. My father is Kenneth L. Blanton, who was the son of Fee Calvin (F.C.) Blanton. He had 4 children... Mazie, C.B., Iris, and my dad. I do believe F.C.'s had 2 siblings, Robert and Octabelle. Does that narrow it down any?? LOL. Nice to meet you!! Drew

Sandy, I looked in the 1930 and 1940 census records and found Rutha in 1930 age 3.(but no Mabel) and Mabel in 1940 age 13 (but no Rutha). It would seem that they might be the same person, because I didn't find a death record for Rutha.
My grandma was named one thing in her first census and something completely different in the next one, so as strange as it sounds, it does happen. We found out that there had been a falling out with the family member she had been named for, so her parents changed her name!

I am sorry but I haven't heard of Rutha either. Did you find her in the 1940 census? If not, she most likely died young. That is odd that your Grandmother didn't mention her either - which gives more weight to the theory that she died very young.
Do you have access to ancestry.com? If not, let me know and I will look through the Ky death records for her.

Yes, I put the marker in the Baber Cemetery for my gg grandfather. It is not an easy cemetery to locate, and yes, it is on private land. I believe the owner is Tom Quisenberry. One of my relatives in Winchester spoke to him and was able to borrow the gate key to get on the property. Once we were on Mr. Quisenberry's farm, we had to drive through several pastures (I would recommend using a truck or SUV, because there are no roads) and through a creek. The area where the cemetery is located is at the edge of a pasture under a thicket of trees, and the old stone church nearby now stores hay and provides shelter for the cattle.
I took photos of every marker in the cemetery, so if your ancestors aren't listed, they may have a field stone for a marker. There were quite a few field stones in there.
The cemetery used to have a fence around it, but it has collapsed and cattle are free to roam inside. They have knocked over a lot of the headstones. It's a mess, unfortunately.
