William's paternal grandfather?
Might you have any leads on William's paternal grandfather?

I have verified information that Solomon Wray b.~1797, Tennessee, d.12/22/1852, Clinton County, Kentucky was William's father, however I can find no useful information about Solomon's parents.

Solomon's death cert lists his parents (as close as I can decipher the handwriting) as "A. & D. Wray". Would you know who the A and D might be?

Thank you for the memorial (# 67830203) you posted that shows Solomon buried at Freedom Church Cemetery, Albany, Clinton Co, KY. I'm hoping you can help me find Solomon's parents.

I would appreciate any information you could share and would be happy to share any findings that may help you also.

RE: George T. Metcalf
Where did you find the Mother and Father's name?
I have a photo that was unmarked that I believe was Octavia Metcalf's brother George T. Metcalf.
It is a cabinet card from the 1890's and is marked with the photo studio Logan Antle Elk City Kansas. I found him by searching the 1890 census for Elk City Kansas. Do you have any photo's of George?
According to the Tennessee census records, I thought John Metcalf's middle name started with an A.
Do you have a death certificate for George?
I appreciate any help. There were some photos in this album with the name Ollir Janes. Does that ring any bells?
Thanks,
Doris

You're very welcome! Once our ground thaws I'll try to get a better photo; it was just too frozen to dig him out today.
