|Tracy C.||John P Gray|
Marvin, I am trying to help someone locate the burial of his Croy family. Josephine Croy married John P Gray. I would guess they were born mid 1800's. I can't find them in the genealogy list you had sent me a while back, so he may not be related, but wanted to see if you had any info on them. Thanks.

I have just discovered John Meador Holland was my GGG grandfather and I am very interested in finding more information on the family. It would be incredible to connect with family I don't even know I have.

I am the Poindexter Descendants Association Database Chair. I have been working on this family's line and would like to communicate with you. My e-mail is robin daviet at c s dot com with no spaces

I found a copy of her obituary today and added it to her memorial. I didn't know if you had ever seen it. You can remove it if you don't want it on there. I figured it was the easiest way to send it to you. It did put it at the top, so you may want to change order. Nonetheless, its yours to do as you wish. Hope you are doing well.

Was glad to get out that way to see it all. I would say it is, by far, the most beautiful area around here! It was pretty nice how the view of the mountain is right over the Reverend's stone, given his love for it..

Yes, but I was referring to the marriage to Osburn Gray as the connection. Also gonna email you the Buffalo Mountain pics.

Finally found the connection for Rebecca Otey. My 5th Great Grandfathers children included her Grandfather, Isaac Otey, who is my 4th great grand uncle. I believe that is correct, anyway. Thanks for sharing the info. I knew there had to be a connection somewhere with the Grays since I seem to have some luck locating them!

He responded on the Hollin names, but not on Thrash. The cemetery page asks for additional info, but I didn't get a reply for that info.

|Tracy C.||RE: Thrash Family Cemetery|
I will. Waiting to hear back from James so I can get him to change info on the page. Also, I found a curious stone I haven't added, Mahalie Thrash Conner. I know she is buried at Salem Cemetery, but there is a stone at Thrash with name spelled as above, with the ie ending, instead of the a and same info on birth and death with the exception of the birth month. Maybe someone assumed she was there so they placed a stone.
Couldn't get the coordinates at the time, so I will get them, but for your info, the cemetery is located off of Sugar Run Rd. From Copper Hill(221) take Copper Hill Rd. (Rt. 796) This turns into Twin Falls (Rt 645) Right onto Pine Forest Rd. (Rt. 644) Left onto Sugar Run Rd. (Rt. 865) Mostly all of this is a drive on gravel roads. Approximately 6 miles. On the left, there is a sign for King Brothers Apple Orchard. The road/entrance leads to the Thrash homeplace. Going past that, you go down pretty steep rutted road to the cattle gate. There are a couple of old, empty houses, barns, etc. which, I was told, belonged to the King family. You have to walk from the cattle gate on, as they raise cattle on the rest of the mountain. Walk was maybe a mile each way, easy coming back, but a fairly steep walk going to top of the mountain. The cemetery is NE of the cattle gate and you can follow a dirt road around and up to the cemetery. Cemetery is fenced but quite overgrown.
Anyone attempting to go should seek permission. The owners are concerned about the cattle and their reaction to anyone walking through there. I took quite a few photos of the mountain, the King houses, and the Thrash house if you would like me to send you any.
