Are you descended from the same Hankins line, or somewhere farther up?

Abigail Hankins
My mother is a Hankins as well. You are correct about the relationships of Abigail to Davis and the children. Her maiden name was Elmore (sometimes found as Ellmore). I've requested family links, and corrections, for those F.A.G. memorials that I could find. I've yet to locate Davis.

My great grandfather was William Case Hankins (#59034344)of Iola, KS. In 1901 he started a family genealogy journal, writing to many of his cousins, aunts and uncles inquiring as to births, marriages, deaths, etc. He was a lawyer by education, but an abstractor (title lawyer) by trade. After his death, his daughter, Mary Frances Hankins (who never married and lived with him), continued to keep records in this journal. It, as well as many other records, are now in possession of his grand daughter-in-law who still resides in Iola. I was fortunate to obtain copies of everything she had a few years ago. It enabled me to fill in a lot of maiden names, etc, that many do not have. It includes many of the descendants of Fielding Lewis Hankins and Frances Drury Hankins of Illinois (William's grandparents).

Davis & Abigail Hankins would have been William's aunt & uncle.

I'm also on Ancestry as well:

Again, thanks so much for the photos! Sherrill
