|Robert Hague||RE: Alice Smith|
Most of the memorials that I have posted in the Bethel Hill Cemetery came from a book of Boone County Cemetery Records. I am currently re-visiting these memorials doing some clean up work, looking at census records, death and marriage records when I can find them. I am also attempting to link families together when I have enough information.
I have no idea of what the letter 'D' might be in Rachael's name other than a possible middle or surname. I am almost sure that Alice was born after 1850. I found a John H Smith with a wife named Rachael on the Boone Co., Indiana 1850 Census. Here is a link to that census:
It seems that Alice's parents originated from Delaware based on this census information. If you have any other knowledge of this family, it might help in solving the mystery.
Thank you for reaching out to me. I am always interested in improving and adding additional information to the memorials that I manage.

Thank you, Randy, for bringing this to my attention. It is a bit difficult to see from the photo. Please let me know if there is anything else I should change.

Thank you for posting the photo of the grave marker of Frederick Smith, and thank you for adding the memorial for Naomi Pauley Smith. I linked Frederick to his mother.

Sorry I can't help you on William Wilson McDaniel; he is not part of my McDaniel family.

|Robert Hague||Frederick Smith|
The information that I posted on Frederick Smith came from a book, CEMETERIES OF BOONE COUNTY, INDIANA, VOL. 1, copyright January 1990, by Rosemary Peterman & Marilyn Walker. Frederick is found on page 110. If you cannot find it in the library, it is also available on microfilm through a LDS Family History Center on film no. 1750772 Item 7.
I am not related to the Smith Family, but I have family buried in Bethel Hill and Old Thorntown Cemeteries. Indiana is a long way from where I live in Texas. I was just happy that I found these cemetery records in book form.
I hope this helps,

|Robert Hague||Mary Smith|
Thank you for posting the photo of the grave marker of Mary Smith. I corrected the age transcription and corrected her birth year. Do you know the name of her husband or her maiden name?
I appreciate your help!
Thank you so much,

Thank you for the information as to Neoma Pauley being the wife of Sawyer Smith. You said that Neoma married your 5th grandpa, Randy Gravitt. It would be nice if we could link these individuals together on Find A Grave. Do you know where they are buried or if there are memorials on Find A Grave for each of them? I tried to find marriage records on www.familysearch.org but found nothing. It seems like you have a great knowledge of these individuals. Please let me know if I be of any help.

|Robert Hague||RE: about mary smith|
I would like to see the photo of Mary Smith's grave marker. Rather than sending it to me, why don't you just post it on her memorial? The information that I posted came from a book which I know may not be accurate. I appreciate you calling this to my attention. In the future, it would be helpful if you gave the name of the cemetery or the memorial number of the person you are talking about. When I read your bio, I figured you might be talking about the Bethel Hill Cemetery. I would appreciate a note when you post the photo so I can take a look and make corrections. Thank you so much for offering your help.
